I wonder if you ever have done a single rep maximum deadlift?
i’m 26 and haven’t either. is there a reason to know your max if you know that you’re progressing anyway?
Just curious.. no reason to know it per se but it’s nice so you can be honest when a program calls for X % intensity of your 1RM.

Nope. I am very cautious to not cause an injury.
IMO, lean and functional fitness is most important. Finding your max is fun, but not a priority.
What is functional fitness?
