I guess Ackman is killing it again.
This is freaking nutz, ten year approaching panic lows from October. WTF, Oil approaching March 2009 lows. This year is definitely going to be more volatile, and every piece of major US econ data will be scrutinized as the market anticipates a rate hike 2 – 6months from now. The thing is that Janet can do anything, rate 100 bps instead of 50, delay a hike, potentially sell bonds, wouldn’t that be a doozy for the credit funds that have sprouted up buying all these “$hitty deals.” That will have everyone on edge over the course of the year.
But hey, we probably hit new highs by EOY.
I think the IBC community has it right in staying nimble and having ammo ready to fire for the right opportunity.
There will be many opportunities this year.
