Then, I recalled the good old days when I had a money tree courtesy of the hourly pricing of Fidelity Select funds.
So now I pour it into Rydex 2X funds @ the 10:30 price, go for a swim or a bike ride and then sell @ 3:45PM.
Squeeze out 1% or so a week and it’s all good.

The market is well settled by then and one needs to go to the strongest (or weakest index – they have 2x inverse ) sector and pour 60-100% of ones funds into same and pull it out @ the 3:45 deadline (hint: 2X EEM and it’s inverse is usually a good one).
Avoid Fed days and be satisfied with incremental gains.
One can do it with etfs but have the metal toughness not to day trade.
No headaches or throwing pizzas at people.

I did load the boat with Brazil ETF options last month and that has made my year so far. What will always be prudent is to accumulate what has really sucked the most. For me it was JNUG/EWZ in February. What else has sucked tit for 2 or more years?

When Senor Tropicana is getting his oranges squeezed, that afford you a great opportunity to play some names.
I’m a big fan of cash-secured put sales on some of these names that have been shit on over the past month or so.
Let’s take an example like FEYE. Currently trading at 47.33.
You can sell an Apr 45 Put for 1.00. That’s 2.27% return on basis.
In a week.
If it still sells and you get assigned, then you own the stock at 44.
You can then sell the May 50 call against your position for about 4 bucks. That would put you in the stock with a basis at 40, and if called away, you’re looking at 25% return on basis.
In a month.
A metric shit ton of these high-beta nasdaq names are now broken, technically. They will need time to base and develop new uptrends (if they do ever come). This is why I think put sales/ covered calls offer a better bet than just straight up stock buys.

Tricky environment we’re in. Looks to me these it’s a simple case of everyone in these MOMO stocks getting on the same side of the boat. I have no doubt the fed will bail everyone out eventually as they have to print forever. They’ve backed themselves into a corner and have no options left except to print until they completely debase the currency. I don’t think it prudent to just buy willy nilly whilst they crash, too many still holding out hope and must be thoroughly routed.

I expect earnings and forecasts will drive them going forward. It will be a long time before they fully recover, some never will.
At the end of the day, no one knows shit. Some time the markets better than others but at some point, past performance stops correlating with present results. Try to manage risk and hope things work out, and be very grateful if you are one of the lucky ones to make a fortune in the market over a short period of time, as I am. And do your best to get through life without getting cancer.

July/Sept is the big drop if Bank of Japan doesn’t act and wants to continue to wait. EU has to lower the Euro in a big way, which in turns makes a stronger Yen and USD, which neither will help this market.
