The Next Super Trend is Here

Everywhere I turn, traditional retailers are struggling, attempting to lure in customers via brick and mortar and fledgling online initiatives. Every quarter we are reminded of how AMZN is killing them and how identity theft is yet another reason to avoid shopping in stores.

Security needs can be accomplished via FEYE and CUDA.

Businesses need to secure files. IMPV does that.

The NSA needs to watch and analyze you. SPLK does that.

Parsing through data is hard. DATA can help.

Analyzing network performance and securing them: SWI, GIMO, PANW and BLOX.

E-commerce solutions: DWRE

I am sure there are many others. Feel free to contribute ideas.

Oh, and for those lazy retailers out there, trying desperately to lure people into their shoppes or online stores, I have just two plays, which should work for years: SALE and CRTO.

I went to a major mall today around 2:30 in the Cincinnati area and it took me 20 minutes to find a parking space. This mall was packed. It looked like Christmas. I don’t understand how these retailers aren’t making money. They must be giving their products away.

Perhaps the mall crowds are President’s day related promotions. Here near Washington DC, the mall was packed, holiday style jammed in the parking lot.

One could ask where is the money coming from for middle class consumers to buy stuff this weekend, but that is another topic.

Are security problems permanently damaging the bottom line for retailers?

Maybe the high end customers are concerned. Mass market consumers are stupid, and will believe what they are told or sold.

    Senor Tropicana,

I humbly suggest further DD on PANW?Analysis by Markman Advisors (IP attorneys) indicates that PANW is severely overvalued. They do publish this research on Seeking Alpha so take it with a grain of salt……FWIW i have been impressed with their research. I follow several of the larger IP plays.

Been loving the security plays. I knew it would only be under LOCK and KEYW for so long. This will go on a run like the 3d players last year…ride it for awhile.

The tech swindle is the new tech. Chiselers. Phone book with an opinion, fuck you pay me. Mysterious viruses that always happen to any new product every time, fuck you pay me. At least the extortion is green.

Tech is nice but you need electricity to run it.
Methinks that even after a 13 point pop on Friday GNRC still has room to run.
