CLEAN UP IN AISLE 3

I am sure most of you know the story by now. There was a glitch in the EBT card system that led to ‘unlimited’ spending limits, which led to an all out assault on the white owned corporation of Walmart. As you readily know, the Walmart family fortune is in excess of $115 billion, so don’t feel sorry for them at all. Instead, feel sorry for the people who felt they were getting over by stealing food and provisions from their community store. After the glitch was fixed, these sub-humans left their shopping carts, filled to the brim, with goods.

The net result was a horrible burden left upon the underpaid workers at Walmart to put everything back.

Gentlemen, the solution to the poverty problem is simple: RAISE their taxes. The more you make, the lower your tax rate. Reward success and penalize failure. And, most importantly, by no means should welfare be granted to able bodied men under the age of 65.

NOTE: Latest news from Washington suggests a debt ceiling deal is near.

I’ve come to the conclusion that making money doesn’t mean one is successful. We are the highest income household on our street, yet several neighbors have much more important jobs IMHO. My wife and I are corporate management. Neighbors are non-profit founders and directors, and university professors/researchers. Now, who is making a real difference and who is just making money for themselves?

What in the world are you talking about son?

If you are unhappy with your life, take your excess earnings and be charitable. Only vacuous people feel vacuous.

It depends on how one defines “making a difference.”
I have a couple of relatives who are (were) professors/researchers and they drew guaranteed salaries, never got laid off (the only way to lose the position would be to be found in bed with a alive girl or a dead boy), plenty of personal time, retired early (early-mid 50s)with great defined pensions and healthcare.
They are “elitists” who like to tell the peons how to live.

You owe me a new keyboard. There’s tea spewed from my mouth all over this one.

You really think they’re in it to “make a difference”?

The nonprofit “founders”, if they’re like most, are just in it for the tax dodge. They get to pretend to take the high road while evading a big chunk of the taxation that your company has to deal with (which ultimately comes out of shareholders’ pockets, and your paycheck).

The university professors can suck on the government teat, produce nothing, and spend their career packing kids’ skulls full of oatmeal, while having little to no risk of being fired or getting screwed out of their retirement.

If you’re going to feel bad about anything, feel bad that you didn’t have the foresight or dumb luck to game the system like they did.

One of the important takeaways here is that we are, in fact, in the midst of a depression. Back in the 30s, there was no such thing as EBT cards so we had soup lines. Take away EBT today and we’d have just under 1/6 of America lining up for a hot meal every day.

Stalin killed the poor. We keep them fat as fuck and pumped full of psychotropics. Either way they’re invisible…until something really snaps (pun intended).

In all seriousness, people need to think long and hard about ways to protect person and property in coming years. Many cities in the 1970s were hellholes. This time around could be far, far worse.

You do realize, of course, that “they” probably pay little or no income taxes and file the 1040ez to get $$ via an earned income tax credit which is neither “earned” or a “tax credit.”
Bigger $$ with the EIC if you have more “qualifying” kids.
If one does away with this EIC then I suspect Princeton,NJ won’t be so “leafy” because the trees will be burned down (along with other structures).

Welfare is defined as “statutory procedure or social effort designed to promote the basic physical and material well-being of people in need.”

Walmart management exercised very poor judgement. Close the store, don’t give out free food.

How much you wanna bet that the bums with 9 carts were all just a bunch of opportunistic Louisianan hustlers and hobo’s, who are probably selling those steaks right now for half price.

Here is a freebie. If it were not for the gerrymandering of districts this would never have happened! In fact there would be no poor. Just happy smiling citizens growing organic produce while walking to work and recycling every bit of plastic on the way.

There are many fine people in Louisiana.

In my opinion, these particular customers are low quality people, as shown by their behavior. This kind of mind set is not helpful to the individual or to the country as a whole.

Sometimes I get mail in my PO box for a nearby business. Another one arrived recently, and because the contents had shifted, I could see it was a check for
$ 5,000 I suppose if I were like the Walmart customers, I would have endorsed the check and deposited it in my bank account…

Also- Was this glitch just at Walmart?
If not, why didn’t the customers have the presence of mind to go to a higher quality store?

It is important to keep personal standards high. I am working on a home project, and my girlfriend savagely criticized my implementation as “trailer park trash”. I did some research and learned she is right.
I changed the plan and am now doing it the right way (Top Hat), and amazingly it is less expensive than the sleazy way. It just requires attention to execution, and not being a low class thug with the wrong tool.

They did not even have the presence of mind to go to a better quality store.

    I
