Who really thinks this won’t get resolved? Bears are in for a rude awakening.
The tea party and democrats both have enough incentive to bring the nation to default. Tea party has been boxed in a “no win” situation. If they roll over and let Obama have all his demands and debt ceiling is raised and spending continues, those that voted them in will see what they did as a failure. If they don’t, the nation already looks like they will cast the blame on their shoulders and every moderate will turnout the vote against them. As a result, their only hope is to stand their ground and hope the democrats blink.
The democrats know that all the fingers are in position to point at the republicans and public perception is buying what they’re spinning. i.e. the dems would gladly fall on the sword now if they think it means a clean sweep in 2014.
The silver lining is those making political contributions, especially from the banks. They have the incentive and means as primary dealers of the debt to force the hand via withdrawing all campaign contributions until the ceiling gets passed.
Also, certainly 16 moderate republicans in the house could get together with the democrats to “play hero” at some point.
Boner has to let them vote on it. Just like Harry Reid decides what the Senate will vote on.
I bought some Apple, GTAT, XONE and REM when we were down 160-180 on the Dow…Just feeling like I wanted to get longer. That’s it for now, did anybody else buy stocks on this dip?
I got picked up ANGI on the dip. I figure with a 20% drop this week and a seeking alpha article out it’s a guaranteed 10%.
