Seriously, when I saw KMB leading my screen ytd besides NFLX, I tightened it up. My guess is we have one more push up then a real correction 6%+ correction at some point when I am beaching it. Let me drop a scandalous thought in the mix:
This whole time, while market was rallying, everybody agreed that its a “FED induced rally”, backed by endless liquidity. Even my co-workers know that. Liquidity? Please refer to 4/23 mini flash-crash – they mopped that ‘liquidity’ out in less than 5 minutes.
As for latest QE, I have a variant perception based on TLT and MBB just now getting back to September levels (when this QE supposedly started). 85bil per month should have done more, methinks. I know, I know…. Keep your quotes from “Economics 101” to yourself, I read the same books.
My point simply is this: THERE IS NO QE !!!
Fed ain’t got your back, PPT is on vacation until next elections and liquidity is in illusion. Plan accordingly!

Rally ending? POMO? VIX rising? QE forever? Those things don’t scare me. They can be dealt with through the use of a nimble and observant mind and a quick trigger finger on your trades.
This is what scares me………
Talking with a customer today who is solidly in the middle class. Nice house. 2 cars plus a new Silverado in the drive. Got the JD mini farm tractor with all the attachments. Nice boat…..all that stuff. Wanted to buy a wood pellet boiler for heating his workshop/man cave….
During the course of our discussion he made the statement that with 0bamacare being free, (FREE he said) he thought he would have enough spare cash around to buy the boiler and heating system for his shop. I suggested that 0care was not free unless you were well below the poverty line and if one had a decent income there was indeed a cost attached to it.
He was adamant in his refusal to believe this and told me that many of his friends had told him it was all going to be no charge.
So……..how many more people think the same thing? And… what is going to happen when the anticipated “no cost” government health insurance turns out to be free not so much?
The realization that there are people out there like that scares me.
