I recommend avoiding chain dog food stores like Petco and Petsmart. Buy quality food from a stand alone pet food store that has better food. Made in the USA is a good start, avoid meat by-products and probably grain ingredients as well. The dog needs moisture from canned food in addition to dry food. Avoid chew toys and bone or other treats. Most are made in China, and I don’t think the Chinese think twice about puting toxic crap in those doggie treats.

Just do some research. I think mass market pet food is the equvalent of fast food. Why feed that to a member of the family every day? I don’t think organic or “holistic” is really necessary, just food without by-products or “meal” on the ingredient list. “Broth” is a way of saying water, blame that on the ever declining dollar. End result will be a much more healthy and MELLOW dog your kids will love. Around our place we buy the grocery store dry food for the raccoons. The dog and especially the cats eat high quality
A game is tough on a cranky smart phone, but my point is ramp up the pet food quality beyond the grocery store and Petsmart, and you pet’s life, and your karma will be improved.
