In the beginning of 2012, I alerted the masses that is would be “the year of generosity” for me. I would take time out from my days of asset management, blog-fathering, shopping for sculptures and rare pieces of art, in order to help the ‘less fortunate.’ Since Obama the Great was reelected, and we’re all in the community spirit, I felt it was incumbent upon myself to “increase the generosity” via an internet blog.
Short sellers of VHC:
Go spend time with your families. It’s the holiday season and your kids want to receive X-mas presents. Buy back the shares you borrowed and use whatever proceeds that are left to buy video games from Gamestop or stuffed animals from Toys-R-Us.
Rest assured, uninformed short sellers stuck in VHC, you are going to lose. It’s not a matter of if but when.
The tall tides of inevitability are rising against you. There are numerous short term catalysts in the pipeline that will cause frenetic buying sprees, in the most gratuitous and horrific ways possible. I could envision, for example, a licensing deal or two that might allow the stock to gap higher by $15 points in a day. Or, for example, Judge Davis might mediate a licensing deal with AAPL and VHC on 12/14–causing the shares to jump by 35%.
Ultimately, the stock will trade to $100, AND MORE.
I tell you this, offering sagely advice on a slow, somber, Saturday afternoon, only because of my oath of generosity. When 2013 comes around, I’ll be eating your livers again. You can count on it.

12.56, 5.23, 1.35..it’s a speculation play on a stronger China, well that ain’t going to happen (even with the good china export numbers this weekend). You can play these numbers for dead cat bounces, but with almost no other fibo supports its just one ugly falling knife imho… YET IF THE CLAM’S THROW MONEY, all bets are off for this Bear.

MCP…. that is one ugly ass chart. That doesn’t look like a stock to own while the entire market is dropping. Even good companies and stocks have been dropping. Think about selling and waiting for the market to turn before getting back in. IMHO
Unless they have lied about their numbers and they are truly bankrupt then I believe they will recover. The stock was up on a positive earnings beat when it was suddenly and violently fisted on news of the SEC probe. Think about it like this, if they go under then all corporations around the world will be reliant on China for all precious metal needs. I’m pretty sure nobody wants that to happen.
Or another company comes in to fill the void left by MCP. Perhaps another company that doesn’t cook their books… allegedly.

When I look up the short float on a company, the sites I am looking at only offer information that is already a month old. Is there anywhere where you can look up real time short float?

If as is supposedly presumed, the EPA sends King Coal to the dust bin of history with edicts emanating from palatial quarters in Research Triangle Park, what will become of the current lowly price of naturally occurring gases which are commonly used for heating, cooking, generating EMF, and perhaps transportation?

Actually it was the woman involved that caused suspicions, and the FBI investigated it to find out. I don’t really understand what you mean. He made a decision to cheat on his wife. As CIA director does he have some kind of special duty to keep that hidden from everyone? It’s a scummy move, but there is no reason that an affair should impact his job. Certainly no reason he needs to resign over it. This is obviously connected to something else, most likely benghazi. Either his role, what he knows, what he will testify, etc.
