SVU, PPC, DDD and APKT were all big positions of mine. I sold them, but kept DECK and FFIV. This cannot be coincidence. There are dark forces at play here, cursing my house. These same devils are now bringing great, gargantuan hurricanes/snow storms, to my house–all at once. To make matters infinitely worse, I am without back-up generator. To think I might have to forgo the basic luxuries of the light bulb has me aghast with anger.
If any of you know of a hardware store in or around the Princeton area, who has generators, let me know. I’d greatly appreciate if you canvassed the entire area for me, as I am too busy getting punched in the scrotum to worry about my livelihood.
Stocks reversed off the lows and have POMO’d their way higher. I am demonstrating world class patience by holding onto my losers. There is a specific reason for that. I don’t want to make any new mistakes. The current mistakes have turned to ‘legacy’ ideas. All this talk of destruction is really overblown, as I am up more than 17% for the year. But my gains have been halved in about 3 weeks, so it feels like death.
The cold truth is, I’m a coal man, always have been, always will be. I need to get back in the mine, workin’ again.
Maybe next week will bring better fortunes. In the meantime, you should all say a prayer or two for Senor Tropicana, to make sure the Gods protect his assets and flower him with coin (no homo).

Regarding said curse, I blame those illegal Mexican Americans cavorting about your abode recently. (disclosure: absurdly long $PPC and $NCT).
FLY take a look at SWHC, people like weapons.(see TASR)

Best Buy
There may still be time for Amazon; Have it Fed Ex-ed in tomorrow
Go to a motorcycle shop — Yamaha; Honda; KTM; all make generators.
Also Stihl ; John Deer; make generators. Find a dealer near you.
Hey yo big baby Jesus, I want to give a shout out to Le Fly. May his home always have juice, organic.
Amen
A fine prayer.
thx
SWHC out on the HIGHS. people in Ohio buying guns before the big storm.
Slight deviation from your theory………People everywhere buying guns based on the thought of 0bama appointing 2…..maybe 3 Supremes in his next term.
Little brother in the hardware store told me his firearm sales are up 75% YOY so far. They we up over 40% last year.
Go RGR and SWHC.
Amazon? Overnight ship that bitch!
..just go to your local hardware store, I’m sure they’ll have one in-stock for you.
Nope
This is pretty basic but as a precaution, fill up your cars tonight or tomorrow.
Last year, it wasn’t easy finding a gas station that had gas before the storm.
10yr is knocking on the door of a 3 month uptrend line..if that baby breaks, i may just get my flash crash after all and the 10yr retests 1.4
oh my
You got time to drive somewhere?
yes
okay, lemme hit up a buddy or two.
I sent you a DM.
Thx
LOL!! OH..SHIT!! That video is FUCKING FUNNY!!
Grew up in Miami and now live in Central Fl..
Never used no stinkin’ generator (and stink you will with no air conditioning in Fl when lights go out).
If you don’t have a pool (and you said you didn’t’) fill up buckets of water to flush the toilets, get propane for your gas grill and start BBQing as the food thaws.
Don’t forget to top the cars off- like RIGHT NOW.
Have fun.
It will last only a couple of days at most.
Plumbing still works when the power is out. Last year was out for 4 days from Irene.
I am on a well and the pump for the water is run on electricity.
So when I flush the water comes form the well so long as the pump is working.
Also I have a septic tank.
And how should my sump pump work?
I’ll wait.
Is that for something called a basement?
Haven’t seen one in years.
Flood insurance?
Lived along the Gulf coast most of my life. Like you, never had a generator and never felt like I needed one.
Our friends from up north are a funny lot.
only the fly can endure pain, live on the internetz, still blog and tweet daily, AND continue to write like the blogmaster he is. INDEUD
Got hit hard with DECK today but the damage was muted somewhat with gains in DDD,WNR and MSFT.
ENTR at 4.50 is a buy all day long 166 Milliopn in cash no debt.
My buddy who works at ANR said they just fired a shit ton of people yesterday.

Try Sams Club too.
Head on out to Kalifornia for a week. No generator needed. Schools will be closed anyways.
So TRUE…Party is over here..Pre Halloween.
I live in Kalifornia. IT SUCKS!!!
I was born and raised in Calif..Sloop, ahhh you just don’t know how to do it right…
Born in Burbank in the 60’s I know how to do it right. When I was younger I bed many of you Nymph’s in my sailboat. CA “was” great its not anymore.
Fly, this is what you get for being such a blowhard.
Wrong and banned
Should have bought three houses…one at the Shore, one in the Mountains, and one for everyday living…no need for generator.
Don’t tell them the airlines are next.
However, if you do have a private jet or other flying vehicle, who is in charge of keeping the tank filled?
I bought my Honda generator at a lawn mower shop. These suckers are quiet and light weight (because they have inverters). Since Honda has fixed prices, it simplifies the shopping experience. I also have five, five gallon jerry cans with fuel stabilizer that will make the fuel last a year. I have a small AC window unit for warm weather applications. For telecommunications get an old fashioned phone that does not need power, a DSL internet connection with satellite TV. Finally, a gas stove, gas HVAC and dryer will give you the ability to live “off of the grid” like a king.
Excellent advice. Unfortunately, no one is buying the fear-factor drama programming anymore — they just assume they’ll be taken care of, ICE.
The general public masses are not exactly the sharpest tools in the shed. The laws of thermodynamics are relevant here.
Eye-Talian, you are correctly pointing out that burning fuel to make heat is most efficient, compared to multi-step systems.
Each conversion has loss.
My opinion is unless you have a lot of it for free, electricity is overrated for survival in these kind of events. For example, in the winter, you can make coffee from the heat of the fireplace (or wood stove) that is also warming up the house.
Der is only one thing you can do and dat is to do da tee bo!
The amount of power generated from the wind in a hurricane can turn wood debris into deadly shrapnel. I’ve heard stories of roofing tiles decapitating people to being impaled by a wooden stick. Be prepared for anything and take care.
During Hurricane Andrew I retreated to the bathroom at 3 AM when things got rough. The next morning, I discovered the bed I had been sleeping in earlier was now covered with glass from the shattered window and a 2X4 was impaled in the wall opposite from the window.
I have lived here in Central FL for 35 years. 2004 sucked big time.
I have three generators – have not needed since 2005.
When you get three back – to back hurricanes across your fucking head within six weeks – feel free to bitch. Until then – please shut the fuck up.
lol

Fly, if you wait for next time, you can get a good generator for 4k.
It doesn’t take much to power two fridges, a computer, tv and 20 lightbulbs.
On a side note, I’ve been taking tons of antioxidants and vitamins but had a knee problem for 3 months. One friggin cup of ginger tea just took the pain away, and I feel very flexible.
No shit, the girlfriend bought a couple packets in a tiny vegetable and fruit stand. It has pain killing qualities and joint benefits as well as 20 other attributes. Gonna look into tablet form. Here’s a rah rah article for ginger:

Indeud.
Since you are still a coal man…thinking about cherry picking CLF and profiting from that one again as Romney wins?
What’s the point?? http://finance.yahoo.com/q/cf?s=CLF+Cash+Flow&annual
This obsession with a generator, right here, right now, coupled with the fact that you can’t find them gives me pause. Ahhhh the storm. Good luck, rembmer, the storm will clear the weak so the strong can flourish.
You find a generator yet Fly?
Ohh one question, may be to late to get a response so forgive me if I post again. What stat or combination there of, are you looking at to determine that an equity is “heavily” shorted? I apologize if this is a silly question, but I am a formally trained artist, teaching myself charts, with the help of you and others generous enough to share their ideas of course, but no formal training in business or stats whatsoever. So i’m not privy to much of what most of you would consider common sense. Cheers!
