Romney, For the Win

During last night’s debate, much to my surprise, Romney came out aggressive in favour of coal. I am sure the toothless, overall wearing, guitar playing, rednecks threw their beer cans in the air upon hearing it, as a classless sign of southern solidarity with the monstrous mormon. Since Romney won, rather decidedly, coal stocks are screaming higher today, in hopes that a mormon administration will be a favourable development to the black lung crowd.

I sold ANR three weeks ago near $8.80, a rare top-tick of sorts. And now I am buying that fucker back.

I sold out of my largest position, KMB, and dropped half of the proceeds into ANR. It’s now a big position of mine and I am going to make a fucking killing on it.

Yesterday, hilarity rightly ensued as various folks considered the juxtaposition of DDD and PPC, wondering aloud whether 3-D chicken printing was in the offing.

Since 2012 is the year where reality outstrips parody in all directions, here’s an item from the Wake Forest School of Medicine introducing ink-jet printing of tissue and organs:

Enjoy.

Off topic but just have to share this mail I got from a very dear friend and runs an extremely good Plumbing and Heating firm back east. This is no hack with his tools in the back of a station wagon but rather the CEO of a very large company. He is pissed and rightfully so at the farce that is Angies Iist.

“Holy shit! Got a call from Angie’s List telling us we had a bad review from a customer. Naturally, we took a look. A long time customer, elderly spinster school teacher long retired, filed a complaint review. Get this – her recall is that on 1/12/2010 ( you read the date right) we responded to her call for a clogged laundry drain, did nothing, charged her nothing, and she then called another plumber who took care of the clogged drain.

Bear in mind – she just filed the two year and nine-plus month old complaint a few weeks ago!

We keep immaculate records. We worked for her on 12/24/2009 for a no heat call. The review says she was never going to use us again, yet she called, and we responded, on 10/27/2010 for seasonal boiler service and repaired a leak at her toilet. No record of being called or having responded on 1/12/2010!

Angie’s List says they bear no responsibility and simply provide a forum for customers to file reviews. Seriously? A review that’s over two years old before it’s filed? No required proof? Only the poster can alter or remove a review?

That’s not a legit forum for honest reviews, that’s a forum for bullies. Shives me the gits and that’s no pstong!

Wrote the old lady (she did not answer her cell or land-line phones today) a letter today requesting she remove the posted review.

As for Angie’s List? A far cry from the image they portray in the tv ads. F-Angie and the horse she rode in on.”

I take all of those sites with a grain of salt.
How does one know it’s not a competitor posting bad stuff.
I do put a little more emphasis on something like Ask A Seal which assures one of the proper licensing, insurance and that the employees have been checked out on their backgrounds. I figure if the Company pays to be checked out and listed they must be ok (still a bit suspicious though).
