Europe was higher and Italian and Spanish yields got crushed, especially the 2 year. Commodities are robust, earnings are behind us and the Federal Reserve has our back. What can go wrong?
If it wasn’t for seasonality, I’d be balls to the wall bullish right now. What exactly do we have to fear, that hasn’t already been tossed on top of the dinner table like a dead lamb? With earnings in the rear view mirror, stock picking prowess will be the most important aspect of trading over the next few months.
For the uninitiated, ChessNwine just published the most thorough and comprehensive market summary and outlook the world has ever seen today, provided for Weekly Strategy Session members, as well as 12631. To be a member of the 12631 trading club, you need to be a PPT member first, due to the intertwixting of both services. If you are a novice or a pro, I highly recommend investing your time and money into this service, as Chess and RC do a phenomenal job at maintaining and upkeeping a rich and vibrant trading room. It’s also worth noting, the members of The PPT and 12631 are seasoned and contribute a great deal to the daily idea flow.
As an aside, we are working diligently on PPT 2.0 and should be able to launch it this fall.
Starting November 1st, the Godly folks over at iBankCoin will be launching a contest of sorts for 12631 members only. As you know, every year we have a March Madness contest for PPT members and we always give out $1,000 to the winner. However, this year, I am feeling a bit generous and will grant $2,000 to the winner of the 12631 contest, as a small token of gratitude for your ongoing business and prayers to the stock Gods.
The details for the contest will be revealed soon. It will last from November 1st to the latter part of December, so bring your A game.
Finally, I am dead serious about plucking one of you from the Blogger Network to become iBankCoin’s next tabbed blogger. I am in the market for someone who can call the markets and express his/her opinions without committing 8th grade grammatical errors. The grammar game is very much an integral part of being a tabbed one, so step your game up–son. If you are interested in joining the iBankCoin team (salary is the ancient Roman minimum wage), let your voice be heard and loud. There are good people vying for such a position. I suggest you do not squander such an opportunity, as it comes around once every 3 years or so.
If you enjoy the content at iBankCoin, please follow us on Twitter
You know if I ever bother to reread my post, that 8th grade Grammer issue could be corrected…..yet, because I fight so much against the power of the Global Clams, my Market direction will sucks…so no chance ever in being a tabbed blogger for this Nymph as long as Clams are in control of this. Drats. BTW, with Draghi gossip about buying 3 years all about, I am a bit surprised that eur/usd didn’t take out 1.2600 clean…and OMG Hilsenrath WSJ article on a holiday, must the Fed talk 24/7 (btw, Deeply divided fed on QE does make this Nymph smile).
Grammar, not grammer.
sucks, will suck, have sucked,
He, I, We. Ooogah !
You are both correct, thank you, I do slaughter the english language. But, in the bigger picture, I am actually have a greater interest on your take of the WSJ article about the reserve rates today and Draghi gossip about buying up bonds.
“I am actually have,” Cmon Now, You’ re doing this on pupose now.
I should proof read these things. Oh well, life sucks.. “I actually have have a greater interest regarding your understanding of the WSJ article dealing with the Reserve Rate”.
I don’t, you do do.
Neemf, is Engish you second language ? What kind job you have ? I can tutor you of conjugation visits if you like. Take it from me, no one take you seriousilly if you are differents. You like toot ?
No, Hector has no time to tutor Nymph. She is a grown ass white woman that can learn the language if she wants. She knows the market well and can afford to wear a dead goose, she can learn English. Find your own man sweetie.
Don leesen to Juan, I give him such a smack and tell him to make supper. You singer, yes ? Do you know Charro ?
Wear a dead goose?
Knows the market well?!??
“salary is the ancient Roman minimum wage” … is it any lower than the child labour pay of the 1800’s?
slightly
“People’s Tribune’ Moolah Heaven says:
“Roman currency was based on a silver denarius, struck at 84 to the Roman pound (322.5 grs.)”
Therefore considering the fact that the the Cocksucker in Chief encourages the Clam to print ever more worthless paper at accelerating rates to prop up markets into his apocalyptic re-election bid, the idea of receiving a ‘Roman wage’ in precious metals is actually quite appealing. Looking especially at Silver lately, I will be very happy to collect enough Denarius.
Hail Fly!
Does anyone recall the original use of the terms clam and bearded clam, to whom they were applied and what the terms mean in street talk? This was pre-nymph adoption of the terms as #1 in her personal lexicon of mysterious vocabulary.
Reverse-pivot..It was actually the Fly who gave us the Bearded Clam in around 2010ish I believe.. http://ibankcoin.com/flyblog/2010/04/14/bernanke-is-a-bearded-clam/ Nymph Speak expanded the Clam Terms to all Central Banks around the world…BoE (Bank of England), ECB, RBA (Aussie), BoJ (japan), etc. They seem to have more control over our markets then whether Coke sells sodas (which is very sad).
If I’m close do I get anything? 😀

On the internet, everything said by everyone should be taken with a grain of salt.
In life, everything anyone says in any way, medium or forum, should not be taken personally, it makes living a hell of a lot easier.
What is the first thing a trader wants when he comes back from vacation? A quick profit of course. Expect the rest of the week to be “up.”
Not to disagree with your prediction, but long weekends and summer holidays are no longer relevant in today’s market climate where people are wired in from all parts of the world. i.e. Joe Shmoe has more time to focus on his trades while he is finally on vacation and free from his daily paper pushing.
I’ll never have what it takes to be a financial blogger, and not just because of an intense lack of interest, however, I still blog about your issues, occasionally: buy appl, sell appl, I don’t care. http://absurdtions.wordpress.com/2012/09/03/bleach-nail-polish-remover-why-dont-they-work-and-where-does-one-buy-a-really-corrosive-product-these-days/
On April 12th of this year, eager to make a big wager on the miners, I invested about 60% of my portfolio in VGPMX. I had to use that as a proxy for GDX as those funds are tied up in vanguard.
Now, obviously this was a mistake on many, many levels…but what I cannot fathom is that today, some 6 months later, GDX is at break-even from that very day. Meanwhile, my VGPMX position is down nearly a full 20%.
Can you imagine – two instruments purporting to be of the same asset class, and with a decent historical normalcy in tracking each others performance, suddenly and apparently irrevocably diverge to the tune of 20%.
It was such a foolish trade and i recognized it at the time, but i rationalized my way into it by making a commitment to not exit the trade, no matter what, at less than breakeven.
So here i sit, nearly paralyzed for most of this trading year, with the majority of my funds tied up in this giant turkey.
It seems inconceivable at this point that the thing will ever reach back to my breakeven point, considering it barely goes up even now when GDX and Gold goes berzerk.
hold on, the uptrend begins. play your poker face and have patients. this time next year you will wish you made monthly deposits.
I am in the boat with you,HB, with regards to VGPMX. Patience, maybe?
if you win the march madenns it will cost you money to claim your prize – I won the 2012 contest and I had to pay the Paypal fee of $29.70 to claim my $1000 —- so you will win less than $2000
Wow, you fucking ingrate. Remind me to disqualify you from any future contests.
This is precisely why I hate those television shows that hand out houses to homeless people.
Really?
Zephler, you are damaged goods!
What policy changes could happen if Romney were elected ? And if Obama became re-elected would anything legislatively change ? Would the corporate and bank “sponsorship” benefit more from one than the other ? Nuclear waste is an acceptable bi-product as long as it contaminates your yard and not mine, thank you for coming and please punch the clown on the way out.
nothing matters, except when you die.
and even that, only matters to you.
that was exactly what i told a friend tonight when he was asking for a reason not to commit suicide, thou it matters not
After my rant in the last blog post “THE CORNAPOCALYPSE IS OVER” on my thoughts on Obama, I can say no more except that a vote for Obama is likely a vote for brain eating, apocalyptic zombies to roam the streets while nuclear tipped missiles from Iran rain on our heads and Sharia law replaces the Constitution as the law of the land.
You are all incompetents.
I have no idea what the fuck any of you are talking about.
Then our post-BBQ-inebriated work here is done! On to Tuesday.
Agreed Fly
I need to take some bath salts so that I can understand what the fuck people are talking about on here.
Must be a full moon.
Taking a stroll through Chinatown this week? Ask him about ANR. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tdQ3aXO4gys
Swks – to see if this is a real break out. Vale – to see how deep this falling knife will cut. Uco – been holding on to this because I fell off the ski and felt like barefooting behind the yacht since july. F – cause I’m fighting with my chevy. Best to all whilst trading this week
