Thanks to the sheer fuckery in TVIX over the past week, I quickly assembled a screening mechanism inside of The PPT (that’s right, I continuously offer and upgrade tools inside of the club for no additional expense) to screen for premiums and discounts to ETF NAV. Naturally, before taking the data as gospel, it’s important to double check through company website, due to possible reporting irregularities. At the very minimum, this tool will alert you to any shenanigans.

Looks like everything trading at a discount are closed end mutual funds…so nothing to see here.
But a quick search of the internets show a number of articles already out there claiming GAZ will be the next TVIX. Implosion may be inevitable, even if it’s not broken, which I can only assume it is.
With that being said, I guarantee every quant desk out there is mining every piece of NAV available. So if GAZ blows up I think we can safely assume this will be an arbitrage opportunity that the likes of us mortals will be able to enjoy for about another week before the bots take it away.

Apparently GAZ was up over 160% at one point. So, it still has a ways to fall, but the move may already be half over. Another buck maybe?
left,people should stay away from natty,and concentrate more on the(sic) periphials of natty,ie:clne,wprt chk, and other companies that will bring to market the components of machinery that utilize natty to make the wheel spin. natty,the resource itself needs to stay very low in order for any tansition to take place.
I got an idea, when gaz gets to 2.80, let’s short squeeze these fuckers looking for easy money. Under 70M market cap… A bunch of amatuers aren’t going to be well positioned to handle a short squeeze and weather the storm.

Off hand I certainly know that you can lay short gaz, long ung.. Don’t see ung on list so it must be close to fair value.
The funny thing but not too surprising after the implosion is the vix products are flipped. Now long volatility is discount and short is a premium.
Crap can’t really short inverse vix and go long vix products as pairs trade. Also hard to borrow etfs poses a problem… But certainly a nice feature to avoid the next egregious TVix like bomb
