Why should I have bought it yesterday? Do you gather I am in it for just 0.50?
youknowitsme, you are being results oriented. If you have a 20 and the next person to hits gets an ace and the dealer hits 21 do you say “I should have hit on 20”?
Or do you say “I made the right decision it just so happens looking back on it, in that instance it would have worked out better if I had hit”
Do you lose with pocket aces after calling an all in before the flop in a cash game and say “I should have folded”?
If you lament not choosing the “perfect option” based upon results in an imperfect game, with many unknown variables and “alternate possibilities” (in this situation say 9/10 of the “alternate universes occurred the opposite way) you will end up making a lot of the stupid beginner mistakes. Buying every “bottom” to the penny is impossible unless you know what everyone in this world is predetermined to do (and that is only if we live in a world without freewill that may not change from one moment to the next.) Not to mention there may not be enough buyers at the exact penny to absorb your buy order anyways.

no but 0.50 X 500,000 shares is nothing to sneeze at.
There probably was less than 500000 sellers at the exact bottom, not to mention the other buyers at that price. Even if you have a time machine and know what the bottom price was, good luck always getting a fill of 500,000 shares at the exact bottom.
*sellers=selling shares not people selling.
