Prepare For the $500 Roll–And Then Some More

Everything that is of any value in this world resides in AAPL. Tim Cook, CEO of Apple, may not know shit about shinola; but he is keenly adept at running with the foolsball. Naturally, the passing of Steve Jobs is reason to bid up the shares of AAPL to infinity. After all, they have $100 billion in cash and dominate every facet of American culture, soon to be worldwide.

I dare say, Apple is worth $1 trillion–because they are going to make televisions. They will snatch back an old American industry, from the hands of the mongrel Koreans, and outsource that shit to Shenzen, China (FOXCONN SUICIDE SLAVE FACTORY), all for the direct benefit of the American citizenry.

We will happily and gallantly flock to the Apple stores, like sheep in search of grain, clamoring over the new television, elbowing one another about the teeth and jaw, to secure a premier space on line. Some people will bring knives and stab others in the stomach, others will simply mug women and children for their wares. One thing is for certain: no one benefits from the explosion of Apple, but Apple.

The fucking parts makers and contract manufacturers can suck a dick, as they are forced to work for free, just in order to grab volume and hope to slice out a small profit (think crumbs falling off a table to be eaten by mice).

God is Apple and Apple is God. Its creator descends on us mortals from the heavens, throwing lightening bolts and hail at us when he is angry, which is quite often. Betting against AAPL is equal to betting against the sun rising or the moon and the stars glistening in the evening.

Get your fair share of the profits to be had and bid it up to $1,000: celebrate religious expression through gratuitous consumerism.

On a serious note, there is no way the average Joe and Jane are going to march to the Apple store to buy an over-priced TV. Given Apple’s proclivity for yearly upgrades, not many are going to be willing to roll over $1,499 every two years to honor Apple’s proprietary arrogance.

Nah, easiest double is Apple to $1000. They have the perfect business model. People convinced to upgrade every two years with their aggressive product cycle. It’s genius.

Imagine if they can convince TV consumers to buy one of their over-priced units and upgrade the set every couple of years. They have already convinced people it’s cool to spend $200-600 every couple of years to upgrade the iphones and ipads. No reason consumers wouldn’t double down and do the same with TVs.

      497 is Yearly R2.
It may retest it multiple times.
But yearly R2 is yearly R2. While everyone is busy being homosexual buying the top, big money is taking profits.

      I don’t mean collapse – I mean profit taking.

Today’s stupid headlines come courtesy of Reuters. At 9:30 this morning we got:

“US natgas slips 2 pct early; storage, weather weigh”

Then 30 minutes later we get:

“UPDATE 1-US natgas pares losses; storage, weather still weigh”

Just how much were storage levels and the weather supposed to change in thirty minutes?

LOL. Natural gas E&P guys are trying everything to stop the bleeding. I did some reading over the weekend regarding the swings in natty prices and how the number of operating rigs can greatly affect the price in relation to wellhead cost. In the early 2000s when natty surged, a ton of rigs came online and then when the price dipped below operating costs many producers were reluctant to take their wells offline. This caused the price of natty to overshoot on the downside. Within a year or so price started to rebound because demand never really fell off a cliff and price increased along with operating rig counts. I think a similar situation is occurring now and the guys who have the least debt and best assets will survive.

Also, I saw somewhere else that the three prior times CHK took significant production offline, it marked the bottom in the price of natty.

I can dig up those links if you’re interested (I have pdf copies I made).

Apple is nervous about something, that’s for sure.

Kid who works for me just bought one of these Samsung Galaxy’s for $1 at Best Buy (apparently the kind w. the pen is pushing everything else down the liquidation scale).

For all I can tell, it’s exactly like the iPhone, just thinner and with a bigger screen and better resolution.

That must have been a Flintstone’s iPhone, with the bird tapping away inside of it.

This $1 Galaxy is the same one CRAAPL is trying to suborn, and the latest version, save the one with the pen writing capability as advertised during the Superbowl.

iTackling will be all the rage at the iStore then, I’ll warrant.

Just consider that Apple TVs will probably have an upgradable OS and maybe even replaceable firmware, not to mention many blogs full of predicted/envisioned exclusive features. The LED screen itself does not need to be replaced to keep a loyal throng of early adopters spending cash day one. Expect the unexpected.

I would hope AAPL has considered that with a user installable PROM similar to memory upgrades.

I think it’s too easy to think that clunker, disposable TVs are the model. Expect that AAPL will change the rules for how it’s done.

No position, but own and have updated every product that AAPL markets.
