In Europe, Citi upgraded Unicredit–suggesting it is a “high-risk” investment with significant potential upside. CIT cut off financing to SHLD, citing Sears as an abomination to all that is solvent in retail. This is, without a doubt, an absolute red flag for shareholders of SHLD. I’d sell it with reckless abandon, as bankruptcy looms in the background.

The mafia didn’t cut rates in Europe this morning and US retail sales came in weaker than expected. However, and having said that, I like companies that retail $90 watches to the poor, allowing them to feel a certain sense of dignity. Hence, I am long FOSL.

As an aside, Muddy Waters is looking to GO LONG Chinese burritos. Oh.boy.

I am down 10% on my TZA position and happy to endure further downside, in order to profit on my longs. Understand something, small man, this is NOT a normal market. These runs are always temporary and there will come a day when you look back on these days as bliss. But it’s very important that we milk these rallies to get ahead of the curve. Earnings season is here and there will be horrific shortfalls. My advice to you is very simple: take the gains, book them, and live well.

Fuck. I have appliances on order from Sears. If they go bankrupt, will they still deliver them?

Can only base my answer on what I’ve seen with other bankruptcies. Hostess has gone bankrupt a couple times and Ho-Ho’s keep showing up on store shelves.

As I warned yesterday, a short term top may be occurring. Still potential for a rebound and touch of 1305. But bears may be in control until March from this point.

The fact that the Chinese enhance their dog food by adding plastic to it is enough for me to stay away from Burritos.

The horror stories coming from my best friend, who engineered some chemical plants over there the past 3 years, only backs Mr. Fly’s theory that Chinese stocks are likened only to the frozen burrito itself.

To prepare frozen burrito simply unwrap and place directly in toilet. Allow to thaw and flush.

Refresh my memory, was it not the distinguished Cramer who, at one time, was extolling the virtues of his “good friend and neighbor”, fast Eddie Lampert. Cramer said he was the smartest guy in the business and everyone would get rich at least from the Sears and KMart properties. Thank you CIT for the new penetrating comment. The same term “abomination” should be applied to Cramer as well.
