Despite my better efforts, the majority of you are still commenting on iBC without top hats and gloves. Consequently, as 2011 winds down, I will be banishing quite a few of you from court. However, don’t let that get in the way of a healthy and grotesque fart, as you drive down the freeway belching with your wife.
It is true, I am being injured, yet again, by the shares of DECK, which happens to be a 15% position. This alone is dropping my gains by 1% today, as shares sink to fresh lows amidst earnings shortfall fears. It’s also true that I’ve been outspoken about my disbelief that warm weather equates poor Uggs sales. Moreover, I’ve been an ardent supporter of the valuation and growth prospects of DECK. With a cost basis just over $90 and very few days left in the year, this is definitely leaving a mark. If it’s not an over-reaction, then someone has some inside info and is selling ahead of that news. Believe it or not, I am not the CEO or CFO of DECK and have no idea what the fuck they are doing in Kangaroo land.
Perhaps it’s just me or the cloud that is following my top hat, but today’s 100 point melt up feels anemic.
If this wasn’t the time of year when people panic sell and book tax losses, I’d just cut the loss on DECK right here, right now. However, since I am in a patient mood and since I’ve yet to see any news pertaining to weaker than expected sales, other than some opinions of third rate analysts, I am inclined to wait and see.

DECK has consistently beat estimates for seven quarters. The stock has to be near support, near where it bottomed in August.
The chart could be the head and shoulders of a gorilla, too
I just bought a bunch more SPY puts…we go lower.
I have Uggs made of the finest burlap.
burps and farts, sounds you make with the kids in the car while driving to the mall, yes.
I have a feeling I’ll be banned for asking this, but what the heck it’s Thursday: are there any “comment posting guidelines” for your blog? I mean besides common sense (varies), common decency (optional) and common courtesy (extinct).
I know you’re well within your right to capriciously lay down the ban hammer as you see fit, but maybe a published brief “comment etiquette” guideline wouldn’t be a bad thing. It could be tagged under each iBC post.
If such a guideline already exists on the site, then shoot me now.
Screw the guideling shit. Keep the bannings arbitrary. You makes yoru posts and you takes your chances. Guidelines give lawyers something to argue over.
When you attend dinner parties and talk amongst other men, do you tell them “FUCK YOUR STOCKS, THEY SUCK and I HOPE YOU LOOSE [sic] EVERYTHING LOOSER [sic].
I bet you don’t.
It would make no sense for me to trick myself into believing the people visiting the site are in fact gentlemen, by giving them guidelines. See, you fail to understand my point.
I do not require more readers, but a better quality audience. I endeavor to ban thousands more, in an effort to procure the best website audience the world has ever known.
Point taken.

Fly, does PPT include insider open market stock purchases? I have found that metric to be a good indicator thru the years.
Dear Dr. Fly:
After reading your choice of DECK, I asked opinions and future possible purchase behaviors of 3 women: Wife, Wife’s Friend, and the friend’s daughter. Wife bought 2 pairs this December because she never had any. The friend and her daughter refuse to buy UGG because it is expensive. The daughter already has a pair, which gotten dirty, and refuses a new pair. This girl is 14, and her friends already have a pair of UGG. They don’t want another pair. What do you think ???
I think anecdotal evidence only goes so far.
It looks like capitulation day on DECK. May be good buying tomorrow
How hot is your wife’s frend?
dont know whats up with deck, but I am long shitloads of MCZ
AND I WILL BUY MORE, AS LONG IT STAYS ABOVE 50c its cheap-> below bailout
DECK is a buy when it stops going down and makes a HIGHER low.
Any buying before that is just taking guesses. Valuation or not, the market doesn’t agree and I don’t argue with the market.
On that point, I agree.
in what time frame do you make that call? 15 min / hourly / daily / weekly?
My point being that all are smaller parts of a bigger picture.
If 2011 has shown anything – it’s being nimble and a contrarian has been profitable
The only time frame it’s not bearish on is the weekly and it’s not far even on that.
Contrarian has nothing to do with it, check out V, MA, AAPL, CMG and HANS for what bullish charts look like – things of beauty
Its only a matter of time before the market turns lower today.
How about SINA @ 53.50 bucks;)
Did you notice that Mandy on CNBC wore one of the new Optical Illusion Dresses yesterday, and today another reporter wore one…that dress style is hot, Uggs are way too comfortable, but not so hot.
For the Non Fashion Types,Turn on CNBC or read a little about the dress http://thestir.cafemom.com/beauty_style/126730/miracle_dress_knockoff_is_a
Well said TN. Women and UGGS don’t fit.
DECK is an interesting beyond just Uggs. I am not in the name but certainly think they have been punished a little too much at this point.
Ouch!

Fly, in the recent The Motto music video by Lil Wayne, he is wearing these new green Uggs. Maybe that will be the kindling for a new wave of uggs buyers in the US. Especially from dudes. lol, no matter the atmospheric temperatures.

Dinner parties? Dinner parties? Odds are extreme that 94% of this blog’s readers and commenters have never been to a dinner party. Unless they equate dinner party with an after 5p.m. gathering of goons with glaring ass cracks showing and lezzies with hairy legs all drinking beer out of the bottle and gulping post-finger fucking finger food.
Mr Fly, given the out of control bannings on your blog, may I remind you that freedom of speech is protected by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.
The only ‘shaky’ leg you have to stand on is if the banned party was engaging in harassment or obscenities. You can not ban the speaker because you don’t like his dress code or because he hurt your feelings.
And be warned. If you ban me, I will find all my fellow bannees and we will file a class action lawsuit against your person and the contents of your fish tank.
Where is this warm weather? It may not be snowing in the northeast, but it is still painfully cold…
Go to any college campus and 70-80% of girls will be wearing UGGs, usually coupled with a northface (VFC).
I was in a shoe store Christmas Eve and asked the sales guy how the Uggs were selling this year. He says they are very popular and his stock in the back was low vs. other shoes in his store. He was also up beat about the new stuff they are planning for 2012. Whatever that may be. He doesn’t think weather is a factor since Uggs are a style statement.
I have no position in Deck, but am considering opening one as the stock is becoming over soled (pun intended) here.
