Watching Joe Kernen play Rush Limbaugh every morning is rather tedious, is it not? When Mark Haines was on in the morning, it was tolerable. But this shit with Kernen and poor Andrew Ross-Sorkin (why the fuck is his name hyphenated?) is ridiculous. In all fairness, Sorkin is just doing his job, best he can, reporting news and things of that nature. It’s Captain Fuckface, with his low self-esteem, coupled with his political smugness, that renders the morning show entirely useless.
Now many of you will say “OMG, why do you even watch CNBC?” You are the same people who haven’t read a book since college or have penned an essay, just for the sake of collecting ones thoughts, ever. I watch CNBC because the channel produces commentary that moves markets. Not watching CNBC, frankly, is equal to planning a vacation without checking the weather forecast.
As an aside, what is the fascination CNBC has with Mario Gabelli? I don’t quite get it.
The market is pointing to a higher open and I will gladly accept the money of bears, like yourselves, to line the walls of my vault. Your loss is indeud my gain and will help finance my eccentricities. Thank all that is good and just that X-mas is near, for I am losing my fucking mind shopping for people and ushering Mrs. Fly around town. I don’t mind buying gifts for people. As a matter of fact, I enjoy giving things to people. However, I loathe shopping malls and traffic.
Bottom line: I am sticking with my positions and will likely reduce my equity exposure into rallies. At the present, I am 75% long, 25% cash.

It’s Ron Insana’s fault Kernen is on TV – he gave Kernen the Stocks Editor job on FNN.
I liked Ron.
“Ron Ina-sauna” is/was pretty watchable.
With you, Fly on Kernan. They need send that jackass over to FOXbiz where he and Eric Boling could share a dressing room.
I liked “we will know in the fullness of time” Ed Hart on FNN.
Couldn’t stand the weasel Dan Dorfman. Had to watch at 11:00 AM just to see what stock he was pimping. It would move for about 15 minutes.
Ed Hart was Ron Insana’s mentor.
Agreed. Between his mastery of the credit markets and his “speculative index” (or whatever he called it), his credit market report was a must watch. Oh course my favorite line was when some wonk tried to spin a bad GDP report and he responded that “and you could put wheels on your Aunt Mabel and call her a bus”.
I preferred Ron with the Wall Street hairpiece. Quite a shock, since I had no clue, the day it disappeared.
Is the Santa Claus rally over? I’m wondering when “terrible” news from Europe/N. Korea/Hollywood will cause the markets to go down again
Early January.
The US will not allow “terrible” news to impact the markets.
In early January, the trade will be too crowded for any correction. My little SDS from 28.77772 will go to zero.
Did you get any door dings on the Lexus in the Short Hills parking lot?…those people are animals.

I would tune into Bloomberg. Less about personalities and more fundamental analysis.
Margaret Brennan is in a league of her own when it comes to financial reporting in my opinion, not to mention Betty Liu.
There are some quality commentators on CNBC however; David Faber, Melissa Lee.
The European Closing bell team is where the strength is at, at CNBC. Silvia Wadha is excellent along with Guy Johnson.
Bloomberg is about T&A – no homo. Not necessarily a bad thing.
Thanks Master Fly.
Don’t forget to repost your brah’s (The White Swan) Christmas joke. One of the funniest jokes told on youtube.
CNBC moves markets short term. Not my game.
CNBC, soap operas, WWE.
But to those who can stand the exposure and make money off of the “information” without having their investment process warped…..go for it.
Most can’t, and thus become the “Other Side of the Trade”.
Mario. Same thing every year. Talking his book, trying to improve his annual performance.
I don’t get cable
kernen and sorgum= pussies,da bod of em
completely in accord w senor le fly’s cnbc critique
hey fly watch bloomberg-better guests and good looking anal-ists.not the hype.
Two words: Amanda Drury
She is VERY watchable.
Kernen is an asshat jackoff and the main reason I don’t watch CNBC until after he signs off. A few good anal-ists there but seems overly populated by pimpers and pumpers these days. Amanda Drury looked better and seemed smarter when she reported from Singapore. Now she looks like a $10 hooker.
And could someone please tell Rick Santelli to stop fucking shouting?
Kernen takes the political BS way too seriously.
My 2012 prediction: He’s gonna get totally unhinged (he’s come close a few times) some morning. It will be really fun to watch.
Liked Kernan when Carl was there to neutralize him. Becky back helps cause Caruso Cabrera and Joe together was like watching a right wing to Fox News….annoying beyond belief. Hate Cramer with a freaking passion. And I hate all of their morning guest host money collectors. Especially hat the likes of Rattner, Jack Welch, Langone etc.- pedantic beyond belief. I watch and listen to Bloomberg until I get bored of the re-run stories.
Kernen needs to move over to Morning Joe’s show on MSNBC, if he’s going to talk endlessly about how to fix the government. I watch CNBC for stock and business news, not for political commentary. And Becky is way better than Caruso Cabrera.
