If we can hold lows in SPY ,there is a bullish “cup and handle” on weekly chart. It complements the daily bullish “descending wedge”.
I honestly have not seen this many bullish descending wedges, in so many stocks and etfs, since the March 2009 lows.
The fundamentals are horrible. But, the technicals simply are not on the bears side,yet.

Truthfully, this is the best financial web property on the web, bar none. When I graduated college I had a very nice offer from the managing director of a well known financial investment firm and I turned it down because I wasn’t very fond of the branch manager, who was a total prick. I was working under the head cheese screening stocks on Bloomberg, as an intern, and really only wanted to work for him. I humbly feel I could have schooled any of the advisors there. I decided to head back home and help with the family mfg biz. Turns out I am happy with the decision I made, producing goods that are of high quality and mfg in the USA. A part of me still wishes I was trading/advising stocks for a living, but I still have some time to trade. One of my favorite Professors, an African American, told me at my graduation, that “at the end of the day, when in doubt about your position in life, you MUST KEEP ON KEEPIN ON”.

Thanks for the reply, and for pointing out the bias. It’s easy to get an accurate ROI for the positions I’ve held all year, but that doesn’t “mix” with returns from new purchases since Jan 1st.
Since every purchase is made with “new” money, I can’t have a simple single return percentage for a given year. The “I” part of “ROI” is constantly growing, and whatever return percentage I throw around on this site should reflect that.

The first year my wife and I celebrated Thanksgiving together, I had to explain the tradition to her, the turkey, the family get togethers. She had never cooked a turkey before, in fact had never seen one. So, to celebrate our first Thanksgiving, we shared General Tso’s turkey. (Her turkey is now perfect.) Enjoy your holiday.

For as long as I can remember we have gotten together with relatives for a traditional “Thanksgiving Spread” !
I have always been in charge of the Turkey!
In addition I will usually do a fabulous casserole … say … a Butternut Squash/Spinach/Cheese thing that will literaly have you beggin’ me for the recipe.
The wife will add her delicious Pumpkin Cheesecake as well as a yummy Pecan Pie.
The other relatives more than fill in with Homemade Rolls, Dressing, Mashed Potatoes, Giblet Gravy, Sweet Potatoes, MORE casseroles, MORE desserts … and, of course … the obligatory Cranberry Sauce !
Over the years, I have refined my “Turkey Technique” ! I can NOW do a 15-17 lb bird (in the oven) @ HIGH HEAT (~450 to 500 F) in about 2.5 to 3 hrs. (basting all along the way) ! It is truly a succulent and moist thing to savor and enjoy ! Indeed !!!
But, not this year !
Due to circumstances that I will NOT get into … “we” have agreed … THIS YEAR … to forego our usual “Family Feast” … deciding instead to break from tradition and … “wingit” !
And “wingit” we shall !
We’re stayin’ home !
Sittin’ tight and doin’ some Cowboys vs. Dolphins AND a Pizza from “Amores” ! The Merlot will surely be flowin’ ! We’ve got Kailua and Ice Cream for dessert ! Champagne will more than likely be introduced … AND … I may even have to throw a log or two in the fireplace … for that first fire of the season ! “Whether tha weather” calls for it or not !
