Hedge Fund Relief Rally Stalled

The “Hail Mary” pass that has been tossed over three weeks ago, for the benefit of hedge funds, might end up getting intercepted by FUCKTARDED earnings shortfalls. Let’s face it, this whole rally was concocted for the benefit of asset managers and pension funds deep in the red. The reality is, the news isn’t good.

AMZN just missed by 100 yards and NFLX is dead and buried. Coupled that with an AAPL, CMI and MMM miss, alongside the GMCR-FSLR debacles, one could make the case momentum is in danger of slowing, and fast.

The PPT flagged OB yesterday, after coming within .01 of OVERSOLD on 10/17. I will not tell you the current score, out of respect for members. However, I will say, betting against The PPT is not a high probability trade.

My timing to take 40% profits on WNR was sublime and my average down on VXX this morning was near perfect. Mind you, I am in the drivers seat again, up over 1.5% for the day, putting my year to date gains near 17%.

And yet you bought TZA early for your personal account. Why not listen to the PPT?

The PPT is only a replicated Fly brain, and sometimes the original equipment is a little faster off the line.

Le Fly,

I win a lot, too. Make a business justification for the PPT. Screen shots and random testimonials don’t sell cocaine. What competitive advantage does the sublime mathematical precision of the PPT offer?

EDAC before the conference call @ 10am EST. My gift to you. I bet on sure things.

Din 2 Win.

Those reasons are exactly why I’m short grotesquely high P/E names. The suffering will be quick and painful. ICABOD HASTINGS will be galloping down Wall Street on his crimson equine of Hell through the silent mist of nightfall and throw incendiary pumpkins at momentum technical traders!

AMZN results are another sign the consumer is moribund, if not dead.

I believe that FedEx shipping isn’t necessarily a harbinger of a “live” consumer. I think its more indicative of a consumer who isn’t going to travel to brick and mortar stores. Gas prices still high + free shipping = UPS and Fed Ex busier than ever. On-line shopping will increase more and more, but not at the expense of a blossoming consumer.

That being said, Amazon just reported some less than expected numbers…

Earnings only for AMZN. Revenue up 44% yoy. Just a sign that they are willing to invest in their business regardless of short term earnings hits. Love to see this one come within my buy range.

Back to the Occupiers, this time in Portland.
Here is the Police Daytime Shift Report.
Good comedy.

My wife’s office is 19 floors above the camp. Homeless people have joined for the free food. Portland is liberal. The mayors office marched with the protesters. Lots of support for them here. Their main march drew 10k. They will need to move at some point but to date they, the police, and the downtown businesses have gotten along quite well. I support them though I don’t think they will make it through the winter. The Pacific NW is not like the rest of the US……..

Very funny list.
The only time I have been to Oregon was for a golf tournament at Sunriver Resort (outside Bend)and I remember a 2 hour tee time delay for frost and it was July 5.
I wouldn’t mind going back and try my hand at salmon fishing some day.

It’s nice out here…….if you can take the weather. I have an acre of land ten minutes from downtown Portland with a year round stream and very large cedar and Doug Fir stands. Slower paced and very liberal….we even have our food scraps picked up in separate containers and composted by the city along with full recycling…..but if your politics ran conservative or if you ever used phrases like (No Homo) you might have to take blood
pressure meds to cope with the social rejection!

With all the oil concerns jumping up and down I’m really surprised no one here has made mention of the estimated 1.8 billion bbl of recoverable oil around the Avaldsnes-Aldous Major South discovery. You people don’t like Norway?

I just talked to my fedex delivery guy. He said the company has told them to expect fewer deliveries for the holiday season. Right now he said he should be averaging about 45 deliveries a day. Today he did 26. What a bunch of fucking liars.

Fly, yes “concocted for asset managers and pension funds deep in the red” Lets not forget the ponzi schemed suckered in 401k’ers, if that is not included. “put money in your 401K, and get your employees match, free money, tax defered” This should be your joke of the day.

One wonders if B. Clinton’s NAFTA (aka Spanish speaking employees) were collecting trash for recycle and trimming shrubs whilst they protested.

btw: load a round and insert in mouth before anyone calls this comment bigoted.
