Holy Gyros! Greece is on Fire

CNBC is reporting from Greece and it’s not pretty. These fuckers are tossing bombs around and lighting barrels of garbage on fire. Do you know where they are getting said garbage from? The fucking sidewalks, since the sanitation workers are on strike.

Come on already. This is extreme violence, not some pussified Occupy Wall Street shit. These bastards are gonna overthrow the government. Why would Germany give any money to them? It makes no sense.

Fuck this shit. I’m not buying anything.

This isn’t exactly uncommon for Greece. The difference this time is persistence of the protests.

That being said, some anecdotal evidence of the Greece is going to hell in a hand-basket:

Friends of my aunt in Greece had their home broken into. The thieves only stole the food from the refrigerator & what was on the stove. Apparently, this type of thing is becoming more common.

Just saw the reason for 1,000 ES Fly. Yeah, I can that happening given the congestion. That’s one big H/S pattern since 2009.

The only difference is timing, I see it sometime before US Thanksgiving, not this month.

“Meaningless, meaningless, meaningless, … all has been done under the sun.” Ecclesiastes.

Show more respect, you heathens, Greece was where old school men of letters, honor and courage enlightened and eased our world towards today.

Even if one fails to see Dante’s Inferno for what it was intended.

And just think about all those immigrant crop pickers.

Let the statue hurling and pasta strangling begin (Greek style, homage).

It wouldn’t surprise me a bit when Qaddafi shows his mug after a couple months of Italy “protests” and declares himself Scipio III.

As the $RUT hovers near its 10/14 high, I find myself somewhat tortured by the question of whether I should add to the small TWM position I started on 10/17.

Momentum definitely appears to be waning. The $RUT MACD is weakening as evidenced by the histogram being down below the level where it was on 10/17 when the $RUT shed 3.4%. I put on the TWM position at $RUT 690 so if the $RUT gets close to that level 30 minutes before the close then I’m very likely to add to more TWM.

Here’s a funny story about Germany, not being able to sell all of their 10yr Bunds, while Greece and Spain yesterday sold all of theirs.

    Why?

Because everyone is buying 6 and 10% yields, backed by mostly german EFSF instead of shitty 2% Bund yield. ROTFL 🙂

I have read that 53% of all workers in Greece are Federal workers.
Protecting their paychecks and making others pay for them.
Reminds me of my sister in law who taught school for 30 years, retired @ 52 and the taxpayers could be on the hook for another 40 years or so.
    0bama’s type of country.

PS Took a look at my copy of the Wall Street Journal from 10/19/87 that I have saved.
That James Baker (secty of Treasury at the time) was as dumb as Geithner.
