Yesterday was just so stupid….today makes sense. China has fallen off the cliff in Copper, Ore use and yet I had to hear stupid people tell me that China is Growing yesterday. US Dollar is over 75.00….come on little one, hold that support.
Not psychotic….maybe incorrect in analysis…but not psychotic. History has shown times when the Fed couldn’t save the day and actually made the situation worse. For China slowing, Not one person, except Tim S on Fast Money addressed the China Import data of Copper and Ore yesterday…imho that was key in analysis for China growth, not one other TV pundit even talked about it yesterday..
Psychotic? no. But, she does sort of talk like a robot. That is fine, as MSFT will dump about 100 billion into buying such robots, when skype implodes into bankruptcy
The Clam may have decided to take care of our “temporary problem” with inflation that he referred to at his statement at the time of the last Fed meeting. Between him and his buddies at CME raising margin requirements on sliver and oil, they seem to be trying to whip inflation quickly.. Lower gas prices will help most other industries it seems. Refiners should still make money whether gas prices are low or high.
rofl..ruggyup…I think anyone in this game is a bit unbalanced…lol. Frog, The Fed appears to be playing the 1970’s pre Volker playbook..and that didn’t end well at all.
Sector rotation underneath surface of dip. Look at all the green restaurant stocks like $DRI , $CMG and $RRGB . Bullish omen for $XRT retail stocks. They are liking this gas plunge.
If WNR’s main goal is to reduce debt, why would they not hedge 3+4Q another 25% at $30? I would do it. IF it goes higher than that in 3Q, then hedge 1Q at higher prices?
I am amazed at the volatility of this thing. It’s like everybody either buys or sells on the same day.
I believe the limiting factor is cash outlay for the hedges…. I think they had to put up $50mm (don’t remember exactly from CC) for like 10-15% of production hedges. WNR ain’t exactly rolling in cash, so there it is…… If the spreads are truly structural — due to eagle ford transport issues, and brent/wti spread — then they probably don’t care if cracks are at 20 or 28. Obviously, 28 would be awesome, but they don’t need to complicate earnings by having derivative losses…. Kind of thinking out loud here, but there you have it….. I am long WNR, for whatever that’s worth.
Where have you found out-month crack spreads? I’m sure they aren’t at $30 — but closer to $20, I would presume… That’s still robust… I don’t have a Bloomberg Terminal, does someone with one have access to non-front month cracks?
My strategy of buying ZSL on the dip seems to be working just fine today….Silver went down on strong volume and up on low. My cost basis for ZSL is in the low 19’s.
God loves drunks and fools. On both counts I qualify and lucked out with a stop on EXK for a small gain. My WNR is like a Dover sole filet – DEBONED. Back to piss warm chardonnay.
WNR is sitting in no man’s land. I am looking to get back in at least low 15’s, if not cheaper. The confluence of dollar strengthening, gas down, and a sudden non-appetite of buying will make this stock trend lower I think.
Market setting up to spike. Last chance to get out of longs.
spike means up.

Come on Clam…Give me your best shot.
You are psychotic.

Do not fret about the psychotic tag. You are not. Perhaps though, more than just a little unbalanced.

If you don’t stop with the LOL crap I’m gonna sticky my hands through this monitor I’m tapping on and ring your neck out.
You cannot fight the clam!
Market is looking top-heavy. Went 100% cash until market finds a price level they can support.

Cramer is on the WNR bandwagon. I’m starting to think that none of yinz know shit about the markets.

obviously trading with the crack spread, but every buyer/seller? Has programmed trading taken over the stock?
all refiners are getting hit due to perception of flooding being bad for refiners. makes me realize no one understands WNR.

One reason why is because out month cracks are nowhere near $30…

Don’t forget Fuckyoushima.
man… did not see an 8% wnr haircut coming today… they are killing me
WNR is quite the white knuckle ride.
At this rate, it seems to want to just break $14 to shake people out before finally going higher.
so in my opinion this market sucks, just my observation….
