Funny how everybody laughed at Hyundais and Kias a few years ago, and now those Koreans are making the best cars. I love the whole haggling process of buying a new car, but after owning it a couple of weeks, I no longer give a shit about it. The hunt is exciting. The dead animal, not so much.

Finally saw “The Social Network” last night after being dragged kicking and screaming to the LED screen (we PPV’d it) by my wife and kids who’d heard it was “great.”
I can say this — it wasn’t as bad as I feared it would be. In fact it was kind of oddly touching at times. Just really weird realizing that this “historical” drama was drawing off actual facts that were spooling out only months ago.
I was thinking to myself… “how the heck did they get the lawyers to pass on all of this?”

From the movie, it looked like he still had his connections and reputation, which can end up being worth some money. A person with great connections can easily live off of borrowed money until his connections help him to get the real money starts flowing in again.
If you liked Eseinberg acting, you might enjoy this Noah Baumbach movie called the squid and the whale. I personally, absolutely adore this movie. it’s about being a teen with divorcee parents in the 80s. it’s not war of the roses bs 80s movies. the directing reminds me a bit of Wes Anderson (if you like his movies) without the fetishism. rebert got a detailed review of it.
