The deeper this correction gets, the greater chance of catching good old fashioned analyst upgrades, based upon valuation. For the most part, analysts are slaves (sorry AB) to their models and look at nothing else. So, as the world crumbles, stocks “look cheaper” to them, based upon their excel spreadsheets, forcing them to write fancy reports.

No one is going to want to be long over the weekend, with exception to oil, gold, silver. It’s okay to nibble, but not bite.

All in all, I expect the market to shatter the dreams of many, while emboldening people like me to activate orbital space cannons. Due to my schedule, I will not have a chance to really have a look at the market until 2pm.

I agree, iceberg lettuce is a waste of space, spinach is a better play. For the tape, I am watching the price of copper, its at resistance/support at the 4.30 level, there is NO reason for it to hold that level, but I have to give it time to play with it’s support before it gives up.. I was expecting USD to catch some bids, last night after RBS it did, but Bullard had to hint at QE3 and we are dealing with eur/usd 1.3800 resistance now. So for the tape, I am sticking with yesterdays SMN, FXP, FAZ, VXX and even DRR…the longs are so heavy in Euro and Swissy that the USD should catch a bid soon…historical lows in USD vs Swissy can’t last that long…darn that Ben B and his QEing.

i know the ppt has taken a time out after a gold medal summer, but it has done exceptionally well except in cases where the market trends up for an extensive period of time… it will shine again someday, and it would be extremely enjoyous to win some trades with it.
