On the topic of amazing, the dirty fuckers from Muddy Waters issued another report on CCME today. Right on que, the lovely ladies from Zeroedge posted the report. Let me be clear with what I am about to say: they are criminals. I am sure their disclaimers absolve them from getting tossed inside jail; but I will not mince words. CCME gaps up today, as much as 20%. So, the dirtbags at Muddy Waters feel bad about their shorts. What to do, what to do? Hey, “I got an idea,” they declared. “Let’s write another story about how fraudulent CCME is, share it with like minded blogs and make a fortune!”
Since the report was issued today, CCME scaled back by 8%.
In other news, unlike those fuckers, “The Fly” hit new highs today, thanks to AGU, MOS, KEG, ATPG, APC, EXK and even a little BORN. To finance my IPI, CLR, APC extravaganza, I sold out of AGU. It was an easy call, despite my desire to participate in the $100 roll. I was up 12% and I own a shitload of MOS.

The market is fantasizing that all these brewing revolutions will fizzle out in the mideast. I Don’t think they’re being realistic.
At the very least, all this tension will keep brent crude well above 100 for months, leading to MORE food riots and revolutions. Ive been bullish since ES 1280. , but here at 1340, there is no way in hell i could see a bullish scenario here.
Sure, we could rise another 10 points, but, were alot more likely to drop 30 to 40 on headline risk. MY only advice is, if another country falls, short the first dead cat bounce. We should get at least one, intraday, when it happens. It may be the last chance to short .

Overprice can lead to oversupply. When I was a pre-teen, the gas station by my house started charging the exhorbitant price of $0.69 per liter. A couple months later, it dropped to 0.29 per liter. Supply demand. If unjustified scare holds price up for too long, then it will crash. Something to consider…

If food were priced in supply and demand. But , the problem is, the price of brent crude now sets the price of foodstuffs.Plowing, irrigation, transport, and processing are all driven by oil powered devices.
And, as long as so many rioters are so close to so much oil supply/shipping routes–it will be very hard to get a steep decline in Oil prices. As a result, no food price crash on the horizon.
At this point, to placate these masses, we’d need at least a 25% drop in DBA and RJA. Until we see that, the mobs will continue to stand up to firing squads. I can only hope, somehow, food does drop rapidly soon.

Today, Friday, the 18th of February, 2011, is not just another day. Its equity option expiration day. Its a $7B POMO day. Its Vanna White’s 53rd birthday (and let me just say…for 53? Uh-huh. She is.).
Tomorrow might also be the single most important trading day for the precious metals that I can recall.
So many of us have waited. We have been bludgeoned by the EE. We have been referred to as insects. We have been accused of being tin foil hat-wearing conspiracy theorists. We have tried to convince anyone who would listen that the Comex is nothing but a fractional reserve bullion banking system which could be brought down if enough people were simply willing to stand for delivery. By this time tomorrow, we may be on the edge of vindication.
The Evil Empire seems to have lost control of their dominion. With only six trading days left until first notice, the March11 silver open interest still stood at 55,811 last night. Tomorrow, we will receive the numbers that will be basis today. IF they hold firm…
The Evil Empire did not intercede in the rally today. Why? Why?? Do they fear that by selling new March11 paper shorts they will only be compounding their OI problem because they will be issuing new contracts to hungry longs who will add their number to those seeking delivery? Our Buyer(s) of Size have been aggressively buying in size. March silver began the week at 29.80. It reached a high today of 31.79. With no EE interference, will silver tack on another dollar tomorrow? Will it add 1.50? Maybe $2.00? Tomorrow we will know the answer. IF it continues to rally…
On the other hand, the Evil Empire may be setting a cruel trap. They may let price run initially, only to release information, make an announcement or otherwise change the rules mid-game. Silver may put in a dreaded ORD and we close back near $30. IF they don’t act tomorrow, with all that’s on the table, we will be able to draw some rather dramatic conclusions.
