LOL @ this video. A singular video to perfectly describe how fucked up our country is that these morons get paid what they do
He gave away one “milli” to strippers for his bday.
50 Cent calls out Rick Ross. Hood rich!
http://www.rapbasement.com/50-cent/020609-50-cent-reads-rick-ross-financial-records-on-the-radio-cars-leased-jewelry-fake-in-debt.html
Either way, he’s no Master P
Holy crap, let’s just kill ourselves now.

Hmmm, I be digging that cellulite on my babies ass!
Haters wanna hate, lovers wanna love, I don’t even want, none o’ the above

http://FunnyOrDie.com/m/m58
That true?
What isn’t?
I always knew Bernanke wanted to get into directing.
That guy IS the next Bernanke. He’s got a cooler beard, he’s black, he’s hip, he’s got the bitches, and he’s dumping tons and tons of money to his buddies. This guy has all of the right qualifications and then some. Ben should be worried about his position. Bye bye Ben, Hello Rick.
If that video represents a typical interview that Rick and his bitches would give on Larry King, the ratings would certainly increase.
In the land of the free everything is, pardon, free. Not enough Medicaid and Medicare? Voi lá, Monseur Bernanke gives away money. Also for free.

Ever feel like we’ve lost our collective way and there is no going back?
Detached from the gold standard and cancelled the Apollo program in 1971. Rick Ross would probably otherwise have got an engineering degree hoping to an astronaut someday.
Let’s put it this way, don’t look up who Obama placed in NASA’s “command” post. And I’m not merely mentioning “id politics,” said director intends to disclose and “share” our science with the middle east. If that’s not troubling double speak, I don’t know what is (, though off relevant stock-tick talk). A rough two-weeks trying to out smart the Rick, I mean Bernak Bearded-Clam. Clever and funny comments as always Mars!
Thanks Blindy. And have you seen Bolden’s #2? Some of Garver’s ideas are not bad, but she is also really against goals, and very into status quo constituent pleasing ala NASA for the last 32 years.
These idiots that comprise this industry collecting more money than the worthwhile teachers OR firemen OR policemen OR military personnel etc is THE singular foundational problem with this country
Unfortunately, we reward those who produce trash that will stay trash forever while causing trouble to those who progress the country into the future
amen chivo,in a few years, you wont even remember that niggga,or anyone else, and the rest of these motherfuckers, they spend it just like welfare………..without regard till they have zero left.
Absolutely no call to repeat the slurs they throw at each other.
______
right on jake. you can’t say it unless you are one. that goes for black people too.
chivo,
you’re doing it wrong – the teachers ARE the strippers
fuck firemen
Fuck firemen until you’re trapped in your own gay house while it’s burning down and they come to save you. You joke about shit a lot, and most of the time you’re pretty funny but our children growing up to be entertainers & athletes instead of teachers, firemen, police, doctors, etc., means our children won’t grow up
means our children won’t grow up because there won’t be a place to live anymore
a) Are firemen’s lives really in danger that often?
b) Does a career sitting around waiting for the phone to ring and working 20 days/month justify a $150K salary and $150K/year for the rest of their life in retirement?
They make 60k in NYC, bro. Bloomturd is in the process of cancelling 12k of their and police contracted pensions, even if they’ve been retired for years at a lower pension than the current salary.
Of course both agencies double their salary if they are able to, but the midget wants to cancel that too.
The 12k jerk requires legislative changes, and the he’s just the dictator to do it.
Word is we need to call in the National Guard if PD, FD, & EMS get pissed and walk off the job for a day or two. How’s that gonna look on a POTUS application ?
Like I said before fuck firemen. They get paid don’t they? They are supposed to put out my fire. They should not make more than a successful entertainer, at least not in a capitalistic society
-Id.
I’m not gonna defend a job that gets to sleep, cook, or watch tv if there are no fires, but come on, $30 an hour to hunt “humans” ?
AGNC,CIM, ASEI, HDSN, XPO, NTWK, CYTK, RAH, RAH, RAH .
they have fire-women now. might be a better option.
Don’t laugh, they’re excellent with a hose.
Treuism
Yes, that’s a problem, Chivo, for us all. The thing about humans is: What we reward, we get more of. Whatever our country/community gives the largest rewards for, everyone wants to do that.
This problem is compounded by the fact that one of the most rewarded and profitable activiites in our society is that of catering to people’s vices so attentively that they begin to think they are virtues. Which some folks in the news/entertainment media do constantly. with the general population.– encouraging unreasonable irrational anger and fear-mongering.
Then we get the wealthiest most spoiled Goldman Sachs execs, plus spoiled entertainers, bought Congresspersons etc. These folks reward other people– either in money or in laws favorable to them– for being their fawning servants. People, pretendi that they are acting well when they are acting badly, in order to be rewarded for doing so.
It’s a downhill path to worse and worse behavior, very hard to make a U turn although it is necessary..
rewarding bad behavior legitimizes it.
The worst part is that our children growing to envy these role models as you say means that we don’t have much of a future
Until we make a U turn. Not easy but possible and necessary. Look at these folks in Egypt. Look at how determined they are to make their country get onto the right path. We can be that brave also. It’s possible.
trust me they have no idea what the right path is.. Its the corupt leading the blind and it will always be that way, you have an ancient civilization with people living off of $5500 USD ave income per capita. thats $2 a day. Do you think Mubarak is living off of $2 a day?
Fuzzy math … $2/day = $5500 ? Using what, some BC or Mayan calender?
This is iBC … bring your A game or be banned!
Using PD & FD overtime rates and night differential ?
I still don’t understand what multiple should be applied to the average egytptian?
I do. I bid zimbabwe.
I don’t know about getting their country on the right path, but I do know they looked pissed and aren’t having none of Hosni’s shinola. Civil unrest is every dictators nightmare.
There’s the way people would like the world to be, and the way it really is. Some things in life cannot be reasoned with.
A very wise man once said, “you will always have the poor with you”. Forget Utopia, these worldly problems will not be eradicated. All the world leaders can do is to keep the people with the rocks and pitchforks placated, distracted and contained for order to exist.
Behold, the beastly nature of man.
The solution is not of this world.
Many people would have said 200 years ago that slavery would always exist, in the U.S. as well as other places. Or 300 years ago that a place like the U.S., where people of all different ethnic backgrounds live together and cooperate in numerous ways to achieve economic and other goals, could never exist. But these things happened. And a large percentage of the many of the people who made them happen believe in the Bible.
We could get rid of the Federal Reserve’s power over us all tomorrow, if there was the will to do it in this country.
Why on earth would we want to do that? The Ben Bernake should be the fifth face on Mount Rushmore.
i vote yes, abolish the FRB. Now there are 2 of us. Ask V King to scare up more votes.
Kumbaya ………… Our Mayor just told us we can’t smoke on the beach, boardwalk, any park, Times Square, Herald Square …………
Almost as if the Gospel was true, eh?
It is interesting how the character of our times is such that people often quote “The poor will always be with us” but totally forget about “Whatsoever you to for the least of these, my brethren, you do for me” and “Feed the hungry. Give drink to the thirsty.”
People quote the parts of the scripture that describe or justify what they are already doing.
That’s one problem with the Bible. Such a big and multi-faceted book that one can use it to justify anything.
Only if you take it by bits and pieces. Never if the message it contains is read as a whole.
Alphadawgg nails it.
This world is a test of sorts to let us demonstrate if we walk the walk or merely talk the talk.
That sir is why we are well and truelly fucked. The extremists are willing to “strap it on” and sacrifice selves willingly. The west is complacent, like kids who want chocolate over vegies; we do what’s easiest. And the corrupt lobbyists know it.
Not so much complacent as “out of shape.”
We tone very quickly, however.
______
Note to the atheistic socialists who would abuse the Bible:
The Good Lord said “feed the hungry,” he did not say “rob your brother, and then take that money and give it to a power-seeking bureaucracy that will waste half of it in the name of ‘feeding the hungry.”
He said YOU, lazy motherfucker, stop putting the onus on somebody else, get off your ass, and FEED THE HUNGRY.
Personal responsibility is a bitch, but that’s what its all about.

HE also said it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of needle than for a rich (materially) man to enter the kingdom of God.
Bill Gates nailed it. Each kid gets 1/5400th of his wealth, the rest goes towards the aim of helping others.
Did I just see full frontal on a youtube video? I swear I haven’t been drinking today…
Just sold EUR/USD long from damn 10:18 for 29 pips. Meh.
This video is as ridiculous as our markets. word?
Some office party!
Hah! i’m too late, it’s been removed by You Tube.
Wow. That was fast!!!
i think chivo reported it
Probably. He said something about role models for children…
Forgot about POMO today. That explains a lot. The bond boys weren’t happy today.
I reported it. I had to because my Dad said not to watch anything that has a Parental Advisory in the beginning. Please don’t tell my Dad but I peeked. Hey, I am 13 years old and I can’t find my Dad’s Playboy magazines. I am ashamed and I am sorry.
Jeez, Jr., One time I parked on the street in Willamsburg ( ghetto booty ) and when I came (outside) there was a gaggle of Hebrew boys around my car like a murder occurred inside.
They were looking at a bikinin air freshner dangking from the rear view………..
Wow, get a Playboy, already, need a service ?
BOSS.
I am not saying that each fireman shuld make what rick ross makes. What I would advocate, and have advocated, is that the entertainers and those with jobs that aren’t beneficial to society get taxed an incredibly high % over a certain amount of income. (arbitrarily, 80% taxes on >$1MM/yr) and have those funds distributed throughout the country to teachers, firemen, police, etc .
Fly, are you really telling me that you think those who risk their lives to protect those who don’t risk their lives shouldn’t be granted special monetary privilege? Everyone wants more, only some deserve it.
This is not anti-capitalistic either, as the majority of those who would get taxed by this “special tax”, ie Risk Ross or Lebron James, don’t know their left hand from their right foot and would still choose their current career, despite the ubertax, because they would make more money doing what they are doing than anything else.
Capitalism is making as much as you can in the calling of your choosing, which would still ring true.
We are seeing the consequences of incentivizing these careers that do not require risk or intelligence or hard-work (for the most part) as America drops to #xx on the list of most intelligent countries where xx is far from #1 and far from where we used to be.
What you advocate is communism. Who am I to judge what is wholesome entertainment or not? Or, better yet, who deserves to make what? If I have a product to sell and people buy it, I should be able to reap the benefits without government redistribution.
In my opinion, firemen, police and other public servants get paid plenty. And, in most cases, like teachers, do a very poor job. They should not get my money because as a society we view their jobs as heroic.
That’s an imbecilic way to structure a thriving economy.
PAGING MR. GINT. I repeat, PAGING MR. GINT.
lol…where is he when you need him?
Your servers are going to run out of disk space if you get Mr. Gint started.
LOL.. You took care of it right nice, boss.
_________
Well we have to structure our economy in some way, and we have chosen the structure we have. Parts of it make sense and parrts of it don’t. The school systems in which there is no incentive for teachers to do a good job are parts of the structure that don’t work.
Also, if “capitalists” decide to sell hard drugs to people, they are doing so illegally, and that is part of our structure. What is legal, what is not, what is taxed, and at what rates, is all part of the structure. I think we need to overhaul the structure and have a big public conversation about what makes sense and what doesn’t.
As far as “capitalists” (thought you mean criminals) selling drugs, there has to be a rule of law in a capitalist republic, or it’s all worth nothing.
The key is to have a structure where freedom is maximized, government interference minimized, but rule of law is firmly established so no one’s rights — especially property rights — are violated.
Here’s the key, and what the Founders knew to be true — it all begins with property rights, with property starting at one’s own body and moving out from there.
________
Well said Fly!
I’m shocked to read this. The reason America works so well is because everyone has the same opportunity to make ridiculous amounts of coin. Most don’t bother trying but if you want it’s there.
Rappers, sports players etc sell a product… Don’t hate on them cause you can’t make a jump shot or carry a note.
Or go into financial services – Bernanke’s chosen people
Some of the things the big investment banks do are illegal already, but they are never prosecuted– another part of the structure that doesn’t work. People who do these illegal activities, and also those who rape the taxpayers by demanding bailouts, deserve no more respect than people who sell hard drugs to grade school kids. If you get bailed out, then you can’t call yourself a capitalist in my book. You are just a leech on the taxpayers.
You are referring to bad apples which are present in all industries.
Bailouts were necessary. They are over and have been repaid as a profit to taxpayers. Did we have any other options at the time? No.
Bailouts explained in this video. Taxpayers did not come out ahead.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yipV_pK6HXw
Bailouts were a temporary solution to a long term problem. Free markets must be free. Individuals and companies that take excessive risk must absorb losses. Companies must be allowed to enter conventional bankruptcy. Without bailouts, at this moment, the US would have accountability, transparency, and trust.
Random has it spot on.
Bailouts are not “necessary” unless you are trying to keep a specific structure in place. A structure that is 99% bound to fail again.

Rick Ross like a boss
interesting take on the events in Egypt and what they may mean for the U.S.

Unless you have thrown ping pong balls at strippers in Thailand you have not lived..
Treu dat.
No cop makes 60k. My bro in law is narcotics and pulls 125k yearly
That’s true if he works 16 hours a day. Every day. For a year.
Ask your in law if he’s down to protest to keep 12k a year. We’re not going to take this.
There’s a half million families involved.
Of course if he’s a Sgt, Lt, or Capt, then it’s 4 days a week ot, 3 days a week ot, 2 days etc.
I’m in the biz, you know !
Drummerboy, this is the spark you’re looking for. Come on over to 21 st & 3rd.
A half million families are about to get told they lost 12k a year to balance the pension budget.
A half million families fired up on beer and told they can’t smoke in pedestrian plazas, beaches or parks, bro . This is the spark.
dont feel bad my friend, try going from 55k a yr.a few yrs back, and in 2010 i grossed 9,200.YES,THATS 9 THOUSAND AND 200 DOLLARS,being self employed for the last 9 yrs, i got my time in as a teamster because i started very young while being in the music biz also, and each gig complimented the other, but i have a ways to go before i can collect my pension or so- sec. as for a spark,i’m waiting on how this mayoral election plays out, because i have seen how rahm emanual was “installed” as a congressman from his very start, and how he “snaked” his way around.so the mayor is retiring, and rahm, all the sudden comes out of left field, and all the hoopla surrounding his residency status was put to question,he was knocked off the ballet, went to “the supreme court” and within an afternoon they decided to let him back on.how they came up with that juris prudence, considering the exact law that is written about residency. they are stream lining his come uppence in the way i have never seen before,he’s going up against 2 black women who call each other a crack head, while the one that the tribune should be endorsing gery chico, who knows how to run a city, is being ignored.IF RAHM EMANUAL BECOMES MAYOR OF THE CITY OF CHICAGO,I GIVE IT A VERY SHORT TIME BEFORE YOU SEE RIOTING IN THE STREETS rahm is playing his temper real real cool,WHEN he gets in, he will make gov.christies’ attempt on the pd.fd. and the teachers, and every city worker look like childs play.he will, indeudly spark the fire, that will turn to civil unrest. and you know i called the obam getting the nobel prize a yr. before he got it…….we are being set up for something that we have not seen since the “68”riots here in chicago, that was politcal……..this time its survival.
Let’s not forget that the mayor’s security detail, IAD, and the majority of PD bosses are also going to lose the 12k along with FD …………………….. or the fact that Sanitation has been on a slowdown since December, and the streets are loaded with snow and garbage.
HPQ, TIN, FOR, EMC, AETI,
Belly
Not all cops get paid the same.
The only problem i got with this partay is that i wasn’t invited. Booze Boobs Money Ho’s…whats not to like?
Care to elaborate ?
AAPL, NYX, SHLD, jeez, I’m scraping bottom of the barrel now, how about RDS.B ?
DE. ok: CAT too. Glad I don’t live in the big cider. Sounds dangerUS Belly.
Sorry Fly, I’ll ban myself.
How bout that ASEI ?
I waited until market closed, but you know, imho, I am looking for a rate hike out of China probably this weekend or Monday. They were gossipy little girls about it before their markets closed for the New Year Holiday. They normally like to announce hikes when someone is on vacation, Mainland doesn’t come back until Thursday…mainly they let the market shake out before they have to enter it. With little econ data and after the weak NFP (btw NFP is a lame report, how can you switch up population figures from 2000 vs 2010 and compare MoM, sorry off topic), but with the weaker figures, China knows that Ben and his QE will be around for a long while, plus they can see what is happening in Egypt over food inflation, and it could move over to them just as easy Plus, China’s lead story tonight is how Timmy is not calling them currency malipulators, this gives them the power to raise rates and say its their own idea to do so….I could be wrong, but darn, the rabbits all seem to be lined up for them to act, fwiw.
How did you get all these lame a$$ Democrats in one video?
yo fly check out this site out: http://derickg.com/ he is the official YMCMB videoographer
My neighbor is a state trooper in Va. and makes ~40K. He has 7 years in. My other friend is a sheriff’s deputy in a bordering county and makes 32K.
The problem is not the state employees, although it is true that teachers are rewarded for failure. The problem is with unions. You already work for the fucking gov’t. Why do you need a union?
Wow Wood, troopers make far less in virginia than NY.
Mind you the link below is for “state trooper” salaries.
Just like Virginia, sherrifs deputies salaries are much lower.
Of course most sheriffs and law enforcement types want to become NYS troopers because a trooper makes so much more compared.
NYS trooper salary and benefits:
http://www.nytrooper.com/salary_benefits.cfm
Nassau & Suffolk make insanely high salaries and we are rightfully hurt and jealous.
We do a lot more.
AGNC,CIM, ASEI, HDSN, XPO, NTWK, HPQ, CAT,
They have to have college edumacations in Nassau, at least.
_________
Same here, but when NYC advertises a job, they include 11k in night differential that not everyone will receive. They also foget to tell you that YOU will pay about 4k in uniforms, guns and leather, and that the 1k uniform allowance will now be taxed down to $650, when before it was tax free,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Why do government workers need unions ? Because they are trying to balance every budget on the back of the worker. “Do more with less.” If you want a huge workforce, how about paying them ?
Union rules for cops get violated all the time for the employee to be a “team player.”
Such as:
Worked 19 hours straight ? You’re supposed to work “inside” on the next shift for safety reasons.
Reduced staff makes this almost impossible.
5 hours notice on a shift change, due to understaffing.
Getting sent to work in a different command.
Union representation on allegations that you stole from, cursed at, or groped a crackhead.
Any thoughts you may have of cops being cowboys went out the window in the Ghouliani years.
He is a control freak and hated by PD & FD. Before 9-11 there was a 3b surplus, offered PD & FD three years of ZEROES as a contract offer (along with givebacks) No presidential endorsement for you, and Pat Lynch went on every tv show to say as much.
Media representation and representation on contract talks that last for as much as 3 years as the city is offering you 3 zeroes for the next 3 years, however they have been working for the last 2 years without a contract, and when you dangle a low offer with back pay involved, the poorer people take the bait.
Right now, Bloomturd is trying to take away a 12k defined benefit in retirement bought and paid for with our union cash and givebacks through his administration and going back several decades.
He just wants to change the legislation that we won years ago. We paid for that 12k, it’s outside of the pension system. We don’t get COLA increases, that 12k supplements retirees that left the job 15 years ago at 50% of a 45k salary. Current employees can’t be shortsighted, and old geezers want to rumble.
Utter bullshit. Cops/Firefighters/Teacher shouldn’t be allowed collective bargaining rights. You people have better benefits and pensions – and are allowed – hell encouraged – to game the pension system to max out near the end of what are all too short qualifying periods for pensions. Get real – were you run by a private company the crap that goes on wouldn’t be allowed. Cry us all a river. If there were any pols in NY that had a nut sack you’d find out real fast what reality is for the rest of the world – read: the poor fuckers paying your freight. You provide a service. Don’t want to do it or like the terms and conditions? Quit.
Gravestone, they’ve been having trouble filling positions in the NYPD for years, the line is huge for FD, and Sanitation rakes in the most overtime. The only incentive for PD is a short career with a pension. We were contracted to that pension 26 years ago, now they want to reduce it dramatically. The 12k variable supplement was bought and paid for with our own cash decades ago, It’s outside the pension system with separate legislation. What more can I say ? It’s the same as getting jerked on social security.
No, we don’t get COBRA, and the people that retired 10 years ago were earning about 45k.
Sound lavish to you ? About a half million families involved.
How do you feel about AGNC, CIM, ASEI, HDSN, HPQ, NTWK, AETI, CYTK, ?
You can game the trading range on AGNC and decide if the appreciation is better than the dividend around ex date. Watch out for another share offering, and if they hold off on that they can pass 30 with a 34 from Zacks.
Start chopping back your gov’t handouts then. There are 43 million of you out there on foodstamps. Surely some of them are willing to work for a living. Even at lousy pay. Sometimes you just do what you have to do. And if you don’t have to do it, because your government is paying you not to (unemployment payments) then the problems all make themselves worse.
I’ll let you in on a little known web site.
It was originally called “NYPD RANT.” but the cop was sued and refused a pension until he changed it to:
“Thee Rant” on a Yoku web server.
If you search “NYPD Rant” it will come up anyway. On the threads there, you will see our opinions on day to day life, others’ fuck ups and even our own with no mercy. Group 7 is the IAD rat squad that gets paid to “secretly” keep an eye on us, but we know how secrets go.
1 or 2 pages in, you will find the thread on how Bloombag is reneging on a law that isn’t conenient for him to abide by. They explain everything in detail, and there are some other slices of life that WILL entertain you. Cops don’t hate the public, we hate the administration that screw us daily.
you got that right belly.guys i went to high school with who have vested time as a cop and a fireman all say the same thing, they hate the mayor and his administration.and its par for the course when contracts run out, because the employer does not want to negotiate anything,it’s stall stall stall until its time to offer almost nothing because they have been waiting so long, that they will take anything. i’ve seen that song played over for years.
Yup Drummerboy, I remember you telling me that FD is hated in Chicago and the cops are loved. Over here it’s just the opposite.
well, if emanual gets in,shit will be flying……i did a small carpentry job today for a neighbor, she’s a retired teacher, this poor woman is so scared, that she has to call the pension office to make sure that the check will come this month, and the next, etc. this is no way to live, christ, i have well over a decade before i retire,i sure hope that i don’t ever have to call an office to see whether or not my money is coming, and i had all my so-sec credits by the time i was 44,which is unheard of.i have been pounding street since i was a kid, there not gonna stand there and tell me what i paid in for a lifetime, that i wont get back! bullshit,ya know why..because we own guns.
My internet snooping reveals that there is a shool teacher active on this site, that both of know from a previous site. She can pipe up on school travesties if she wants.
Not understanding your gun reference regarding pensions, though.
I have 5 years of Zeroes in my retirement years in regards to the 30 year social security dealio. Not good. (They take your 30 years active work salary in a row, zeroe salary brings down your social security payments, for others listening in )
i have a zero,1 it was during high school so i dont mind as much it was so long ago.my reference to arms is, is that these asswipes that are gonna come into office and think that they can just take some ones’ pension, in the middle of their lives and just wipe it clean to their own liking will not be tolerated by the ones vested. and as such,we as americans, who can possess firearms, can stir up more shit to protect what is already ours, into making the ones that make those insidious decisions of our money, think long and hard about the backlash and consequences that CAN INSUE if they are not real careful.its one thing to throw rocks, but ots a whole different ball game when 3-4-5 million take to the streets to just whack the very few,,,,,,,,,,,which is what i put to RB at his thread at pickr and i’ll say it again.if there are only 1k that control you, me and the other guy, and there are 310 mill in this country. if 310 murdered the 1k,who will try 310 mill.there isnt a prison big enough, and when that 1k are terminated, we can reinstate the constitution they way it was meant.nobody has the nut. and you all can have the fucking elections..they are fucking meaningless. WE NEED AN ABSOLUTE CLEANSING its way overdue
Years ago, PD & FD protested and it got out of hand and someone yelled “Take The Bridge !”
Back then we were a house divided even in the PD, No More ! Now it affects everyone right down the line, even the rat squad .
We have the balls, brains and beer to do it, will be on nationwide news, hows that affect a presidential bid for him ?
I did a double taxation post at the end of comments, it got deleted. I’ll try again.
Belly, look, no hard feelings towards you, whatsoever. I am a humble public servant as well.
However, in regards to unions, what about all the right to work states, (non-unionized) where the pensions aren’t bust, the employees aren’t being abused, and the states aren’t bankrupt?
Perhaps me saying gov’t employees don’t need unions was too simple, but I believe there is a lot of evidence out there that shows that gov’t workers don’t need unions to have good pensions and safe workplaces.
Where the employees aren’t abused ?
They get denied lunch and bathroom breaks more often than you’d believe, I don’t want to elaborate, but 19 hours of overtime is not welcome to most, it’s paying the bills and often on a religious holiday. That’s how they took a 42k salary up to 70k in the 1990’s. One hour at a time.
Health Benefits ? They’re eroding just like in the private sector.
Safe workplaces ? – Large rats and mice at the precincts and police academy. Nerve damage from toxic mold in the famous 2nd Ave buildings while you wait for the morgue to show up on natural death doa’s ….. Never mind what’s going on in the Bronx, Brooklyn or Queens. That’s Gramercy Park, bro.
I never defended a job that get’s paid to sleep, cook, shop, or watch tv, though.
This edition of the blog: 90% medflys , 5% eighth graders trying to be as quick as the medflys, 3% honest to God documented dumb shits and 2% really smart folks trying to navigate a medfly infestation with no known pesticide. What a waste of time.
Not Medfly, Benfly.
I’m still upset that Trading Nymph didn’t warn us all of the Chinese rate hike before the market closed.
Bullish, Its not sure thing, its just a pattern they like. Plus, OMG even the NY Times was picking up the editorials in State Owned Papers and buzz http://www.nytimes.com/2011/02/02/business/global/02yuan.html?_r=2&scp=4&sq=china&st=cse
Oh and Bullish, Bank of England may raise rates on Thursday too. Their economy has been not growing crazy wild but inflation is hurting them. Of topic.I still can’t see why so many don’t see the stupid huge “copper bubble” that we have created, and how like all bubbles it has to pop. Of course normally when the last one in just can’t or won’t buy the bubble anymore. HISTORICAL HIGH for Dr. Copper and no one is worried at all…following this bubble grow since early 2009 I am amazed no one has really questioned or even pointed at it as a bubble? But I guess that is the case for all bubbles, once they pop everyone says” Of Course it was a bubble, we knew that, want to buy some copper, houses, oil, tulips cheap”
China rate hike means jack. Ben Bernanke is their Federal Reserve banker, as long as the renminbi is pegged to the US Dollar.
IMHO, If China slows, the world slows…even with Helicopter Ben.
The groceries get delivered to the staff in the pantry and $600 for a report on the Bugati ain’t bad, just make it snappy, ok ?
As for smoking in public fines, wait while I go through a whole pack of smokes and grind them out on your coat.
My last post on New Yorkers getting a double taxation on car accident reports got deleted, can’t imagine why, it’s in the newspapers. Can it be editted and replaced ? I used gentlemen’s language and cuss free news that affects us all.
Sometimes links get yanked. It’s kind of random.
________
Anyway, the mayor wants to charge you $300 to $650 for minor fender bender reports after your taxes already pay for that service. FD wants a piece of that money, so expect to see a huge red truck if you report a scratch on the car at the supermarket. Also expect $50 fines for lighting a cigarette outdoors in NY.
Quite an interesting discussion.
In case folks missed this before, here is the video explaining what happened to us taxpayers as a result of the bailouts.

And, for anyone who missed the toy bears’ previous video, here is that one– which explains Quantitative Easing. These are some smart little toy bears, who can educate the public a lot better than the news stations.

Great stuff here from Joe Saluzzi on HFT’s.

The Royal Bank of Canada has come up with a defense against one type of HFT called THOR.
There is an article about it here.

Interesting. Thanks for the article.
Sorry Belly
Coming from a family of cops, I think it’s safe to say cops should not make more than bankers.
Imitataion Fly, you started off with the guy that married your sister is a cop, and ended with most of your famiy being cops. I think in one post you were referring to Sgt.’s Lt.”s and Capt.’s as “cops.”
Do you think AGNC or CIM will hold off on their extreme offerings in order to gain some appreciation ?
Or are they greedy for the extra management fees instead ?
HDSN is a microcap that rises in cold weather (refrigerant replacement, upgrades)
ASEI, another microcap for terrorism and drugs. They can exray through metal, and go mobile in vans. plastic explosives too.
A very un-IBC-like thread. Please end the civil servant compensation debate now.
I can understand anyone being bored with any topic. However, perhaps you do not realize that we are in a budget crisis now, with MOST states in the U.S. near bankruptcy. And the biggest expense that is causing the budget crisis is civil servant compensation, benefits & pensions. This also affects federal government policy, as some folks are proposing that the federal government to bail out the states. The outcome of this debate may very well end up affecting your wallet a lot more than your trading profits or lack thereof.
A must watch video on this topic. I laughed my ass off watching this. BTW I heard Time magazine caught wind of this and plans on doing a story about it.

Man, sure with we could have such a strong discussion on where the market is going, or what stocks people like or don’t like….
…maybe we all know it’s just going higher.
Yes, the market is going higher… that’s a given. Tech, Materials, Commodity related plays… the only place I would avoid is Healthcare and Consumer NonCyc’s – due to the boring nature of them.
Apple will continue to rule the consumer electronic dept and Android will lose alot of market share due to a higher quality option at Verizon.
I think the bullmarket will have plenty of pullbacks along the way this year – just to suck the bears in over and over. They will feel smart when random events like Egypt occur but will soon have egg on their faces as usual.
There’s my 2 cents… unless you want to go back to talking about cops, firemen and rapper’s b-day parties.
I expected nothing less from you.
Light data this week, and I threw out some microcaps and REIT’s for snarky derision.
Whatever your analysis of today’s Big Game might be, I believe the inevitable answer must be GO PACK!!

Great job on this one. Always support. Salute.
