Just a quick reminder: “The Fly” has vowed, on his honor, to never curse on this blog, until the Dow touches down on 10,000 again. Considering QE2 has magical powers, I better get used to this virgin dialect, if you know what I mean.
I didn’t sell HRBN because I want cash. Quite the contrary. I sold HRBN so that I can buy some other cool takeover play. As you know, “The Fly” has decided to invest in stocks that will be taken over, from hereon-forth. And, he is into Chinese Lotto plays, in a big, big way. I still think HEAT breaks jaws to the upside, when it gets going again.
For the next few hours, “The Fly” will ponder the very meanings of life, while eating sandwiches, and figuring out where to win money next. To clarify that point: money is not made in this market, but won.
Off to crumple a bunch of charts up into a ball, light them aflame, then pull out the inflammable ones for instant purchase.

Just got done doing some DD on FTK. Looks like they are actually turning things around. They are on a path to profitability by the end of 2010, which is pretty huge for a company with a market cap of 50 Million.
Their profitability will soar if Nat Gas goes up. I know that is a big if, but they have been busy making products for liquid fuels as well.
I am going to buy FTK. Thanks for the idea, Fly.
Just bought a little bit more today at 1.75
I think FLY should buy products from FTK now, instead of more stock. Bump up their quarterly rev’s, dump the stock on the ensuing run-up, then return the products or re-sell them at a small loss. That’s probably illegal, but in a PWRD, that’s what I’d like to see happen for the sheer mustache-twirling deviousness.
From what I gather, Fly owns around 200k shares. He must be expecting this stock to soar to have that much cash locked up. Plus, he can’t sell that amount of shares without driving the price down considerably.
I trust that he knows what he’s doing.
Rather than hating, I suggest you do some Due Diligence like I just did. FTK is a turnaround play that looks pretty good right now.

What else have you learned from your DD? To me–and I’m a novice to this whole market thing–FTK blatantly looks attractive at these levels. Yet, there are very obviously some things holding the stock down. Why would anyone sell at this level? Why would any one remain short at this level? What are the risks facing FTK as you see them?
The risks include continued dropping of natural gas prices. This could erode their ability to make money in their drilling business.
In addition, they need to keep growing their chemicals business. Most of this business is done through short term deals (1-2 years). Since they are so small, it is difficult for them to compete globally. That being said, this year, they inked contracts in Turkey and Saudi Arabia.
There is a real possibility of bankruptcy if they are not able to continue to sequentially grow revenues. This is going to be their last chance to prove to the banks that they can make it.
Natty will go down.
