CSCO call said that supply constraints were a concern for them and customers played a role in tentativeness. Aside from their economy correlating bullshit, the takeaway I had was that the suppliers have at least another quarter of orders to work through before they can slow down. Data center virtualization (component heavy), cloud, virtual healthcare all play into this. They said at the beginning of the q they chased 550 parts and ended at 300 where the typical chase is around 100. There’s fucking orders sitting out there. Book to bill was 1.1. I’m thinking that AVT and ARW are the beneficiaries here. An article I read specifically said that AVT provides HP (CSCO competitor) with parts.
AVT upped their next q EPS guidance and revs significantly. While their valuation could be considered rich to ARW, ARW only upped their EPS but not their revs. I like AVT here, especially with the little reaction during the earnings and call today (2:00pm). I can’t imagine it was baked in with the response CSCO got AH.

Actually looking at everything….we are getting close to support…but our power to move up strong isn’t there either…imho, I would expect sort of a “attempted” rally to stay under 1101ish tomorrow at best…market moved down hard and really needs to rest…we will see.
A little recovery time. I was looking at the resistance at the 50 day moving average on the S&P of 1088. Nothing like a little uncertainty to shake out the weak hands.
Key support at that 1088 pivot …. looks like we move up now rather than an early morning sell off as predicted by Cramer. Buy the dip … we remain bullish unless we test the 1058 pivot.

That could be it, but I sort of have this new method with the roots in Terry Laundry’s Advance/Decline analysis and in my strange new method, I see that the NYSE Advance Volune – Decline volume = 500,000,000 before we hit resistance tomorrow….which could give us power to get around 1095…..plus if I had to have a shopping list Beer Plays may work.
