This market is very sick. I have a feeling we may see another -1000 day over the next month. Oil is getting killed, gold is heading higher. This bubble is about to burst. When it happens this time, there won’t be any time to get out either. I have noticed more asshats on TeeVee saying that the market is going to get killed by the end of the year. I am entering my short positions here on any bounce.

The action in crude futures is rather concerning. There is considerably more weakness out in the 2011 years than the summer months of 2010. If things should suddenly flip over into a full blown contango, it would cause enormous damage circa 2008 after the oil bubble burst, while emboldening the deflationist/bear camps into shorting everything in sight. China may be the spark.
We’re still a good ways off from that, but seeing oil back in the $70s, when it wasn’t even a month ago people were calling for $100 a barrel, makes the hair stand on the back of my neck.
This is the mother of all shakeouts .. Crude will be back in the 80’s in a couple weeks.

I don’t pretend to know where crude is going. However, if China goes into a recession, the European consumer takes a hit, or our own debt problems here in America flare up, then crude is not going back up any time soon. That’s an outcome you had best stomach now.

Isn’t the greater risk for the Euro those who hold them in allocated claims and thus the reason for the Fed dollar swaps? 27% of allocated claims are in Euros versus 61% in USD worldwide (Q4 ’09).

That old guy on the VectorVest ad looks like hes been treated to a few kicks down elevator shafts and staircases.
My short Gold position from a few days ago is doing just great. They “gunned the stops” this morning by a fake $17 rally in gold. I was not fooled one bit. And neither were the gold stocks.
The short position I entered for 14 cents is now worth $2.08. About a 15-bagger.
BTW – this stock decline is all bullshit too. They had to take all the biggies down 5%
to scare the Mutual Fund managers.
