As I slowly take on the hated persona of a burlap wearing bearshitter, I am reminded of the days when investing in stocks had risk. Back in the old days, stock fluctuated between gains and losses, prior to making decisive moves. Today, we have an “MNCS” market to the upside, for no reason other than momentum. The dollar isn’t going down anymore and the economy is not ripping to the upside. We are simply chasing momentum.
Well, while we are here, enjoying the decadent scenery of winship, we might as well play along, until the bomb hits and ruins our view. On strength, I like TriQuint Semiconductor [[TQNT]] , General Cable Corporation [[BGC]] and chemical play Sigma-Aldrich Corporation [[SIAL]] .

Also I noticed Seamens corp spending lots of money building a big facility here in houston, so that engineering company is taking off as well. Its good to be back!
Great news, Rand. Congrats.

Dear Mr./Mrs. Fly
267 years ago today, Thomas Jefferson was born in Shadwell, Virginia, just a hop, skip and a jump from his more famous home built later in his life, Monticello. Long has been the debate over identifying the greatest founder – and it certainly is a debatable topic. As a twice-over graduate of Mr. Jefferson’s University – The University of Virginia – I am almost duty bound to advocate on his behalf. But in truth, the greatness of the founding generation was found in their willingness to stand together against tyranny to build a nation committed to liberty. We need that here on your great site.
One thing is certain – if Mr. Jefferson were alive today, he would no doubt approve greatly of the great American spirit that remains alive and well, while simultaneously fearing that Americans have so allowed government to dominate their lives as risking extinguishment of that flame. Please Mr./Mrs. Fly don’t clamp down so hard that it “snuffs” out our spirit.
“I consider the foundation of the Constitution as laid on this ground: That “all powers not delegated to the United States, by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States or to the people.” To take a single step beyond the boundaries thus specially drawn around the powers of Congress, is to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible of any definition.” Jefferson
Right.
As we work to stop the explosive growth of government and the corrosion of our deeply held American values, we must remember what the founders sacrificed and risked to give this gift to us. Please allow “all’ the freedom to speak here.
We furthermore must remember, and not run away from, the righteousness of our cause. Again, as Mr. Jefferson wrote:
I know my own principles to be pure and therefore am not ashamed of them. On the contrary, I wish them known and therefore willingly express them to everyone. They are the same I have acted on from the year 1775 to this day, and are the same, I am sure, with those of the great body of the American people. (letter to Samuel Smith, 1798)
Happy Birthday, Mr. Jefferson. I wish you well Fly.

The best explanation I’ve seen so far is by the Credit Suisse economist who thinks that we’re still in one of those sweet spots but only in so far as when the private markets are not pressuring the credit markets. He thinks we’ll get into trouble when both the government and the private credit markets are vying for dollars which should happen next year.
R we all losing our minds. The cost of being sucessfull in a ruthless world is burtal.
Mr. Fly

when will limp dicks figure out that you short something weak, not something strong…”I’m gonna short it up here, and more up here, and more up here” -fuckin inbreds
We’re coming out of a recession. What are you seeing that’s strong? Besides, simple market volatility means you can short whatever you feel like, when the time’s right.
I’m diggin the deadmau5 motif.
Was out all day. I’m back in time to see yet another struggle to keep futures above 11k.
The $EEM has closed red two days in a row, and last time $INTC beat, overnight futures gapped up on re-opening.Didn’t happen this time
We have 24 hours to hold my record. On stocktwits, Ive never been more than 2.5 weeks early in calling a bounce, or rally.
But, i don’t doubt the bulls ability to improvise one last fakeout bounce into google earnings

regarding the IMF : if they offer to buy greek bonds at yield rates well below the market, that will significantly raise the price of greek bonds in general, right?
if so, are greek bonds at a guaranteed discount until the market yield equals the future IMF yield?
