[[LSTR]] are doing well, while chemical companies like NewMarket Corporation [[NEU]] and Lubrizol Corporation [[LZ]] ramp due to increased demand. Without a doubt, worldwide growth is back and companies are making lots of coin again. However, we are on the verge of passing a monumental health care bill, fraught with non-sense, that will affect everyone in this country. And yet, with all of this on the table, we get another 40 point uptick in the Dow?

I sold out of my Silicon Storage Technology, Inc. [[SSTI]] position, for a minor loss. I don’t think a competing bid will emerge, now that the Chairman is backing the SSTI board. And, I added to my [[VXX]] position. Remember, I still have longs, like GlaxoSmithKline plc (ADR) [[GSK]] , Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (ADR) [[TEVA]] , ICICI Bank Limited (ADR) [[IBN]] , Citigroup Inc. [[C]] , Brocade Communications Systems, Inc. [[BRCD]] , [[CBD]] , Flotek Industries, Inc. [[FTK]] , U.S. Global Investors, Inc. [[GROW]] , [[MWW]] , POSCO (ADR) [[PKX]] , SandRidge Energy Inc. [[SD]] and Sociedad Quimica y Minera (ADR) [[SQM]] . So, think of my adventures into volatility as a hedge against my longs. Essentially, I am attempting to limit my downside, at the risk of capping my upside.
The bottom line: I am very close to buying a chemical or trucking name. And, I will be sure to be long Adobe Systems Incorporated [[ADBE]] , just in time for earnings. Howsoever, I refuse to buy up here, as retard stocks like The Boeing Company [[BA]] climb higher every single day, based upon air.

So we replace one fucked up health insurance system with a different fucked up health insurance system. Does it hurt us any worse? Health insurance companies will have to pay for uninsured fuckers with cancer instead of medicare/medicade disability. It will work for a while.
Damn– maybe that’s the plan. Blow up the health insurance companies by making them accept pre-existing conditions. When they fail we are left only with a Government run program. Like they wanted originally.
Demand is not the problem. Go to socialized medicine, and kiss current supply goodbye while demand only increases. Should be real fun.

Right, and that’s bad enough, but here’s the difference.
If, as a result of this legislation, we go to “more” Medicare/Medicaid as a percentage of overall revenue (which WILL happen as a consequence of gov’t mandade ridden private plan pricing driving consumers to a state system) docs will just throw up their hands, say “eff you” and go fishing.
And when THAT happens, the supply lines will shrink to an ineluctable level of provision where health care cannot be purchased at ANY price because the doc is just not there any longer.
And here’s the thing — even if the dopiest of fools in Congress realize they’ve made a mistake? There’s years of medical personnel development that has to be made up for. Years of inadequate care, inadequate service and overall shortages await us before we can hope for a remedy.
