Time Machine Special: Friday’s Jobs Numbers

They will be horrific, thanks to the fucking snow and shitty economy. Men dressed in burlap will throw themselves into lit fireplaces, so that you may choke on their black smoke, emanating from their carcasses.

I must admit, as of late, the whole blogging thing is fucking boring me to death. Everyone has their motivation, whether it be through gaining power, popularity or money. I desire none of the above. Sure, I like money and the fact that iBankCoin pisses on the competition; but it gets old. I am surrounded by sheer incompetence, every where I go. The inadequacies of others, in general, denigrates quality of life. These days, no one takes pride in their work. They don’t contribute to anything, only take away. For every person that adds value, there are 10 who endeavor to take it away. There is something to be said about the internet and how it is a cross-section of life. People should go back into the fucking matrix, or die sooner; that’s all.

On Jupiter’s Stone, the market is topping here. How do I know?

Well, do you ask a fish how does it swim or a bird how it crashes into airplanes? Of course not, so quit asking me “why”?

In the big scheme of things, we’re all crack heads, playing “follow the bee” in Times Square. I meant that in the most anecdotal way possible, as you know.

My friends from the prison they ask unto me, how good does it feel to be free? And I answer them most mysteriously: Are birds free from the chains of the skyway?

I also used to feel like that, Dr Fly, but heavy doses of Prozac straightened me out!

The numbers will piledrive longs into concrete mountains.

Fly, agreed on bad #s but isn’t that somewhat known considering how “experts” are already blaming bad jobs and economic numbers on the snow?

Know this Fly — you add man, you add.

I’m a writer, I know of what I speak.

And the combination of your skills is a pleasure.

Peace to you and yours–

Might be time to break out Ol’ Blue – Mets style.

I stop by now and then to observe this insane asylum and it pleasures me not. Fly thinks… maybe if I am different than the other worthless bloggers and I say Fuck alot, I will garner a huge following be able to convince the unwitting to pay for the incredible PPT. A group of wanna be writers demonstrating their boredom with life and the markets… babbling about what?? Live your fantasies well. It takes all kinds in life and I repsect them all… to an extent. How edgy…. now you fucks get back to whatever it is you do.

CapnWeb you need to change your name to CapnObvious.

This blog sees angry trolls like you like a fat man sees sheets of toilet paper. How’s that for vulgar writing?

Now go back to installing U-verse for AT&T.

Fly,

One of your funniest posts IMO. But your new apathy may color your shades a little too dark. I use to think stocks were the biggest ponzi scheme and suckers game in the world. But then things like earthquakes, PIIGS crashing, euro tanking, China bubble stuff started happening and it got me thinking that the good old relatively honest U.S. stock market is relatively sane and in comparison maybe even valuable. Who knew. Cramer comes out with this same story tonight but this was obvious to many investors that last 30% up. And not if but when inflation comes in our old age are we going to count on our gold bars or iron pellets buried in our back yards saving our butt. Warren Buffet is betting on railroads, what choice to we have. We had our crashes already, 2 in the last 10 years. It is probably either sideways or up for years to come, but like you said never invest more than you can afford to lose.

Never watch the loud mouth, but I read his show commentary after this post. Holy crap, I almost agree with Cramer.

Hey that’s kind of like my line:
We need men who can dream of things that never were and ask “why not?”.

Now if you can go back and pick me up in your time machine so I can get to 2010 and kick some ass in D.C.

GeorgeBernardShaw says:

No. Fly’s question re: “Why” is more like my line:
“Some men see things as they are and say why – I dream things that never were and say why not.”
And no need to pick me up in your time machine. I would rather be dead. The USA is so screwed.

Red pill or blue pill…

Maybe take some time off. Go visit another country and get drunk with the locals at night while building a house during the day. Nothing clears the head better than working with your hands and getting away from everything you’ve known as familiar.

Everyone and their mother has been talking about how Friday’s numbers will need to be discounted due to weather, etc. Seems to me this is a no-downside trade. If they’re terrible, we all saw it coming. If thy’re not so bad, then well then, that’s great. Get drunk, buy stocks.

I just have trouble looking out into the horizon on the bloomberg economic calendar and seeing any sort of “that’s a big day” days in the next 10 days. And we’re out of earnings season. So unless “Greece 2″ comes out nowhere, I dont see this correction. Just a bunch of chop. I’ve lightened up my short term holdings like you, but still…

Of course, this all assumes the market moves on news and fundamentals, rather than “nazca lines on that thar computah screen”, like so many seem to imply around here.

Fly,

I work in a fairly serious office and often read your posts during my lunch breaks. Sometimes I find it hard to control myself from having fits of laughter due to your insane humour and people around me wonder whats going on.

Keep up the good work Fly. Thank you for humour, it adds colour to my days.

Agreed. Fly, your posts of late are especially good. I too work in an egregiously sober office, and your laugh-out-loud posts catch me by surprise – often with a mouthful of grape soda spewing onto the screen.

“Men dressed in burlap will throw themselves into lit fireplaces.” Indeud.

I enjoy reading the tabbed bloggers and posters here who have something to say, especially since many are good writers. A lot to learn here and maybe contribute something along the way…

Ibankcoin is the best site out there.

Let me ask you something. In the last 12 months, which site would you have wanted to follow. Ibankcoin or the other trading sites out there? Which site has given you the best calls and with logic that you can understand? If you followed Ibankcoin these last 12 months then you would be up up up. Hey, it has not been perfect and not every call is right, but its been better then any other site out there.

Ibankcoin is about trading the markets. Its not about chatting, its not about shooting the shit, its not about fooling around…The Fly is here for business and making money.

He guys. If you are trading for real, not paper trading, then this is the place to come.

Jupiters stone………..indeud!

One of your better posts that did generate what could be termed a large smirk at the least.

I read somewhere today on the www (Wierd Al’s own internets) that unemployment #’s were projected to be an additional 20K for Feb. We’ll see if it gets revised.

I’m not overly optimistic about Mother Market especially with the “drive season” raising the specter (not Arlan) of a greater number of our hard earned $$ going overseas to pay for fuels. People hate that >$3.00 price like hell.

More adult males in the 25-45 range are unemployed than at any time in our history from what I read. That ain’t gonna cut it. The fat lady has yet to sing.

This market is fucking tough right now. It’s hard to maintain a high level of motivation when things are just not moving.

So there was snow and some shit, and the numbers will suck. Okay fine– then the next bunch of numbers will be after the snow and shit, and they will rock by comparison. Let the f-ing market drop and then buy in for the next batch of stats.
