I have numerous errands to run today, so this will be my only post during the trading session. My crystal ball says, the market is about to pop, led by banks and tech. Already, we are seeing extreme bullishness in the sectors, with big dicked gains in Ciena Corporation (CIEN: 15.75 -0.32%) , Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. (GS: 173.53 -0.82%) , TriQuint Semiconductor (TQNT: 6.87 -1.58%) and Deutsche Bank AG (USA) (DB: 72.18 -0.36%) , just to name a few.
Despite cursing the Gods for placing me into Flotek Industries, Inc. (FTK: 1.37 -5.52%) , “The Fly” is having a splendid day, with gains in OmniVision Technologies, Inc. (OVTI: 15.55 -2.02%) , SandRidge Energy Inc. (SD: 8.10 -1.46%) Corning Incorporated (GLW: 18.08 +0.22%) , (ERX: 39.60 -2.92%) , salesforce.com, inc. (CRM: 75.60 -0.15%) , CIEN and TEKELEC (TKLC: 18.40 -0.43%) .
I’m not exactly thrilled over today’s action, but it will suffice. For the most part, the economy is getting donkey punched; but the trillion dollar question remains, what does that mean for stocks? Does the Dow belong at 8,100, 6,100 or 10,000? As crazy would have it, I would not be surprised to see all three numbers hit, over the next six months. In the meantime, I am sticking to a thesis, just sort of riding this fucker out. Granted, it’s not a risk free strategy; nonetheless, eventually, rest assured I will be bowling on you fuckers with cannon balls of fire.

If Goldman Sachs had their “code” stolen, and they have just announced on Bloomberg that it “could be” used to manipulate the market…..then what was Goldman doing with it?
In all fairness, that’s like saying “my loaded gun was stolen”: now someone is out there ready to kill someone with my gun.

Just FYI the code is virtually useless. The idea is what is of value but they would have to have the exact same systems with the same speed links and many other variables. Thats why they could hardly give a fuck about this. But its a sexy story evidently. Like this “Cyber War” that is going on. Its just a plain vanilla gay DDoS attack against the white house website which is full of useless bullshit anyway. Just trying to sell ads with the words.
Should I also mention that this guy should have full access to the code? He was a fucking quant programmer for the strategy so he has to have the code because he fucking wrote a lot of it. Besides he would have been checking code in and out of subversion daily. The fact that he was leaving the firm and checked out the entire source is what got him caught, this happens all the time and why they invented DLP (Data Leakage Protection). Just homofied how dumb the media is.
well excuuuuse me. When you want to sopy the code you do not “check” it out which is a term for completely different procedure in code maintenance. You realy just need to copy the code that usually resides on servers that do not have convinient USB ports to insert the flash and copy. So the only way you can take it home is to “ftp” it on a remote server and then download it back to your home computer later. But then you are so not “homofied” yourself that you would know that you just forgot how it works.
I’m with Gappy on this one. Apparently programmer is not aware of the amount of “slurping” that goes on with developers.
