A few years ago I paid 30 for 200 shares of a stock. (HAL) At 20 I bought 400 more.
At 15 400 more. At 12 1000 more. At 10 4000 more and at 9 5000 more. (Those last
four trades happened over 3 days). I sold half my position at 15, and the rest at 25.
Figure out THAT percentage return.
Just because it worked for you doesn’t make it a sound trading strategy for the masses.

The come back in the last 20 minutes or so is the result of a volume skew in the ETFs for the Nasdaq 100 (QQQQ) and the Dow Jones Industrial Average (DIA) which are running more than 24% ahead of average daily volume. These can be short-term effective, but generally do not produce runs, in either direction, that last. The S&P 500 (SPY) and Russell 2000 (IWM) ETFs do not have this skew.
