“The Fly” doesn’t need no stupid Vulture Capital funding. It was all a big ruse, in order to force some of you lemmings into emailing me congratulatory messages. MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. It’s one of those “The Fly is winning, despite the appearance of losing” sort of moments.
The market is crazier than bat shit in a mental hospital, with herky jerky moves, kneecapping then “splendour [sic] fucking” (I realize that term is meaningless) overzealous short sellers, who wear pink suits to work and yellow turbans to bed.
My SRS position did fine, while FAZ took brassed knuckled jabs to the teeth. At the present, I am content with the action in TLT and SPIL. Moreover, after all of the mark to market/G-20 circus geek act is up, I promise you, “The Fly” will step into this market with great vigor and fashion, in an effort to perplex and annihilate the many foes betting against me.
So you know, I’ve been spending my days eating ham sandwiches and talking to business associates, aside from blogging. Let it be known, I have many irons in the fire; so many, you would not believe me if I told you.
When down and in doubt, depressed about your pathetic lives, feel solace in knowing, somehow, somewhere, “The Fly” is winning and enjoying it.

S&P revised its outlook for Weingarten Realty Investors to negative from stable. “The outlook revision reflects our concerns regarding Weingarten’s comparatively large 2011 debt maturities in light of the company’s above-average leverage. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac Receive $46 Billion From Treasury
Freddie’s net worth was negative in both the third and fourth quarters. The McLean, Virginia-based company took $13.8 billion in aid from the Treasury in November. Washington- based Fannie’s draw from the fund yesterday was its first and goes toward erasing a net-worth deficit for the fourth quarter.
Both companies said in recent securities filings that they will need more aid and that the $400 billion Treasury lifeline may not be enough to stay afloat this year.
The Treasury payout yesterday included a $15.2 billion investment in Fannie’s preferred stock and a $30.8 billion purchase of Freddie’s preferred shares, the companies said in separate filings to the Securities and Exchange Commission today. The companies must pay a minimum dividend of 10 percent.

thing about CRE is that it doesn’t need to die just yet. loans are later, many things could happen. sure its a game of musical chairs and we’ve passed the era of Peak Credit.
but big money is concentrating on sustaining a good rally at the moment and getting things moving. and ignoring crap like job numbers. they are not concerned with destabilizing the CRE market at this time.
if they had any sense (doubtful), then the CRE sector would get thumped many times to do a kind of stress test on everybody in the sector. weak names will get shown, some will get forced down and out early. but its not a good idea to just hammer the whole sector right now. so big money would avoid doing so.
or possibly I don’t realize how greedy and dumb everybody is.
