I did pick up some around $51 but unfortunately am still underwater due to purchases…higher north of here.
It’s a hedge against some long term longs so won’t kill me…except for the fact that, like a degenerate riverboat gambler, I bought more than I should have and thus exceeded my hedge.
So now I am a godforsaken speculator against all that is good and holy.

Thanks. The moment I pulled the trigger on SRS today I expected to read an announcement that all unoccupied commercial space was being bought by the Feds and turned into emergency government cheese making facilities.
I’m up slightly on SRS right now, but am twitchy as a tweeker knowing that tho REITs should start popping in unison, there will soon be pressure for some sort of aid to prevent downtown Pleasantville from turning into Detroit or Baltimore.
$51 was a good entry.

My fear with SRS and CRE in general is that the stimulus/TARP/whatever Fed deal they come up with next will make it easier for CRE types to use the banks or the guvmint (or what looks more and more like guv’mint banks) to roll over their disgusting debt levels before I can exit the chunk of SRS I bought higher.
Embarrassingly higher.
Fly’s position sizing strategy gave me some confidence, and when I add up what I have made off shorting BPO, MAC, KIM etc I would probably break even if I sold right now.
Reloaded KIM again today…
