Brilliant ad. It gets noticed, sends a message and mocks the typical overproduced, researched, slick campaign ad.

No way. He just lost the nomination with this. It is creepy, odd ball, and frankly dirty. It’s like the perv convention – smokes, mustaches, vertical blinds… women voters and anyone educated will be “wtf?!”

He’s out. Nomination suicide. Watch it go viral – in a bad way. Cain is done. They need to pull it asap

Here is the thinking that went into this ad: “We can make it, better, stronger, faster than before… but I don’t want to spend a lot of money.”
Then they took 15 minutes and a camcorder and threw this piece of shit together.

Hey, guess what? Everyone is talking about it, tweeting about it, arguing about it. Love him or hate him, the ad has done its job. For someone who was supposed to be off the stage months ago, he sure has stuck around. “If 10% is good enough for God, then 9% should be just fine for the federal government” (no position)

    Fly,

Why don’t you ever address the lunacy of the likes of Joe Biden?

Are searching for cover for the ballot you cast in 2008 by ripping on the GOP primary candidates?

Hmmm, I don’t know. Biden is a fucking psychopath, not much more to say other than his uncanny resemblance to George Washington.

It’s hard to hate on the good General.

Don’t worry, I will be calling 0Bama dicksucker in no time at all.

    politicians are silly.

#1 thing that affects the happiness of their patrons: economy

#1 thing they (and everybody, including wildly wildly wantonly studly blogoturds) don’t grasp at all: the basic foundation of the economy

if a commentattor says that the US “is broke”, the are ignant. Better to follow the owner of some strip clubs, frankly.

LOL. I just showed Mrs. Fly this video without prefacing it with anything.

Her exact words: “Is he crazy? This is insane. It’s like he hired some loser to blow smoke in our faces.”

The spot was posted on October 19th, according to its YouTube page, but because it was unlisted on Cain’s main YouTube page it seems to have gone undiscovered until now. There has been some speculation online that the spot is a hoax, but the Cain campaign late Monday night confirmed to CBS News that it is legitimate.

i have spent my entire life savings, in the name of pointless pussified american policitcs.

    i hav pur

    chased

1 million grams of blow, which i shall distribute to our “leaders” so they don’t have to get it from hookers anymore. they can get coke from a neutral source, his is honestly one of the greatest services ever done for this country.

and it hath been done by a shitfaced drunk man at some sort of clusterfucked 5 day funeral drunk, which is in and of itself disturbing, my goodness am i intoxicated.

still not remotely as ignant as the BEST of our leaders, who is, his/her self, completely stupid. thanhk you, that is all

Here’s an example of an edgy, unnerving commercial that worked. Of course, it is vastly better than the Cain ad, but illustrates the principal of recall.

  24. just saying

    devil’s advocate:
This will get everyone who smokes to vote for him. Subconsciously they think “I want a cig.” Then they see the cig and think “I want that” Then suddenly while thinking “I want that” they see a picture of Herman Cain with Cain 2012 showing… while thinking “I want that”.

Those who don’t smoke see it as a healthy substitute subconsciously because in comparison to a cigarette smoking guy he looks like a great choice!

You have to be 18 to vote, so for young voters it represents independence and becomming an adult by voting, so they will associate that with the ad with the cigarette in it. The subconscious is more powerful anyways. Proof: You can say you will “remain calm” no matter what, but if you are in a high pressure “fight or flight” situation, your adrenaline is still going to cause you to react no matter how much you talk yourself out of it, and you will justify way you did what you did logically only AFTER the fact.

Meanwhile with Phillip Morris on the bandwagon he should be getting some campaign money, no?

Besides. Cigs, Pizza, mustaches? All that is missing is beer and you have a perfect embodiment of all things american!

    He just won!

In all seriousness, this will garner him a lot of attention and even negative attention can be good if people start to recognize your name and who you are, they will pay extra attention to him. Looking back on it they will possibly say it either ruined him or he succeeded in spite of an ad that nearly ruined him, but people will completely forget about it 1 year from now… consciously anyways…. assuming he makes it that long.

  25. weird guy bob

It’s actually kind of comical that you can make or break your political career based on creating an unprofessional commercial with some guy smoking, but if you smoke yourself and are a community organizer and talk about quitting you get elected. It just goes to show that becoming president is all about manipulation and captivating the public with BS tactics and it has nothing to do with your ideas, or what you are potentially going to accomplish. Too bad our system isn’t just a group of people submitting a 10 page paper and voters had to first take a test to prove they read it and then vote based upon the contents of their paper outlining their plan and they never actually had to look at their face or see them talk. Really society would probably be better off, especially if the requirement for reelection was that you had to at least enact 60% of your plan.
