What an asshole. Apparently even though he has grey hair he has never spoken to anyone who lived through our last depression. Buddy, can you spare a dime?
we’re already in our own kind of depression
Anyone who wants food lines and the return of road agents is half crazed. A depression means working aged men who can’t feed their families & have too much free time on their hands. If that’s me, you best understand that my kids will have food on their table on way or the other. I have to assume most think along the same lines.
My grandmother to her dying day stole sugarpackets from restaurants – what kind of terrible memories must stick with you to keep those habits 75 years later…
what, over 44 million people on food stamps “isnt” a bread line. small business folding up in the multitudes “isnt” the same. the middle class “isnt” taking a beating, yet once again, but only this time driven to extinction…….
It is happening.
The real question is are we heading in that direction anyway ?
Currency debasement has never been good in the long run.
What we really need is stimulus that educates, and retools America’s workforce.
I think we need to create more rather than mostly being a service economy.
Also business needs to be given some sort of assurances that no matter what Uncle Sam has their back so that they can start hiring again.
The US is unable to spend it’s way out of this problem. The medicine must be taken. Lessons must be learned. Being held accountable is essential to moving forward.
Cronk, even if your not educated, in the classical sense, I give you a bronze star for at least becoming literate. Keep copy/pasting.
Bind Dead,
You remind me of Jakegint. Attack when and where you can, stay silent when the overwhelming evidence is in you face.
If you can not win an argument then you start with ridicule, name calling, and ad hominen cracks.
You give praise with sly underhanded dismissals and or insults.
The sad part about you guys is that you can not have a conversation without becoming emotionally enraged.
Especially if your being beat by a character or view point that is completely opposite of yours.
I made it all the way through school and gained a degree from a vocational school.
I have started and folded a few business’s and enjoy being self made from the age of 26.
Spelling and grammar was never my strong point.
Face 2 face i would crush you like a bug. Strictly in a verbal argument sense….no copy and paste biatch.
@GW – It ain’t worth replying. I enjoy these news posts as well as your posts and comments. BTW a bit of garlic oil spray or tomato leaf spray will take care of these pests without harming the environment. I prefer picking beetles and worms by hand and squishing with a small rock. I also use floating row covers to keep my broccoli worm free. I seldom get aphid infestations, since the lady bugs eat them all. If I get any on the houseplants, I just take them outside and give them a quick spray with the hose. The lady bugs and spiders finish them off.
Yogi,
I hear you loud and clear.
I would like to think we are all in a discussion where the back and forth brings us to a higher level of understanding.
You know like the way philosophy class was….
BTW you can also try canola oil on dem bugz.
I’ll give the canola that a try if I ever get a bad infestation. Once I stopped screwing around with pesticides I had a lot fewer problems. Now I’ve got tonnes [sic] of dragonflies, butterflies, a few bats although less than a few years ago, hummingbirds, and of course the deer and woodchuck pests along with a large red fox who makes random appearances at dusk.
