On the Russia thing: it seems likely that the main collusion is no different that Douche Bank: breaking laws to make a profit. It seem unlikely Mueller will find evidence that he giving away trade secrets, or anything that greatly imperils national security.
Also, look at it this way: even if he gets impeached by the House, he will be aquitted in the Senate. Best case scenario is that the Republcans lose 8/8 Senate seats and Demcoarats maintain 24/24 of theirs (how likely is that…). This would still leave the Republicans with 43 seats, so they 20% of the Republcan Senators would have to vote for impeachment.
So he may get impeached in 2019, but will still serve his full term.
How the hell is he going to be impeached in the House? What law has he broken? Take your time…

Agreed, Trumo will not realese SoU address in advance. That would run contrary to everything we know about him:
1) he is secretive (tax returns?)
2) he likes to do things differently than other presdidents, just for the sake of it
3) he is spontaneous and unscripted, so he might make changes on the fly instead of reading the teleprompter straight
4) he has a big ego and low self-confidence. so he wants people to watch, listen, and pay attention. This forces peopel to tune in if they want to know what he is going to say. Good for eyeballs, if not ratings.

Another difference from Trump and his predescessors: while most politicians *evade* or *obfuscate*, Trump just lies. So his address will give little insight into policy.
Re-read his inaugural speech. Border portection has been the one thing he followed, while completely betraying the working class.
The only reason to watch is to observe his body lanaguage to see if he knows that he is lying. I’m no expert, but it very interesting to watch simple actions like head nodding “yes” or shaking “no” in contrast with the words or eyes darting around when searching for a thought.
Of course, Trump is so delusional – in the most literal sense – that he could lie and still believe it himself, so his body language would not indicate anything.

Thanks for the link. To be clear, my point is that the penalty for breaking financial laws is well worth the profits. The public doesn’t seem to care much if you rip off the US government (ie, taxpayers), just as long as you don’t rip off consumers *directly*.
