You cannot get more distasteful than making light of cancer. Then again, we all get it, especially men and the prostate variety. Let’s face it, we’re going to die and there’s no escaping inevitability. The least we can do is have a good laugh or two at our murderers expense.
What I really meant to say was I am preparing for the cancer conferences in May (ASCO) vis a vie getting long a variety of cancer related biotechs. FLXN is not a cancer treatment play, however. I am long this because both Pfizer and Novartis are investors. The stock is barely above its IPO price and I feel, rather emphatically, demand will soon outstrip supply–pushing the stock much higher.
The same goes with EGRX. These stocks are in play. Biotech IPOs are outperforming everything else and I can’t remember the last time IPOs did this well in after market trading since the dot com days.
Get in while you can.
For the day, I made your annual salary in fees and another 1.83% on my assets under management.

Making 7500 dollars in fees doesn’t seem like much for somebody as experienced as you…
I respectfully suggest that anyone inclined to make light of cancer volunteer for a day in their local pediatric oncology clinic.
it’s a horrible way to die…which is why investing is so great because people want to believe so badly.
True, although as far as investing goes versus trading i just add to my IBB and XBI on any large dips for investment purposes. As close to a long-term guaranteed stock investment as there is.
I knew someone was gonna mention kids with cancer. Of course I agree, but damn you.
i got out of FPRX at 20.5 – luckily right be for the secondary dilution. Had been thinking of getting back in – although yesterday was probably the day to do it. Any thoughts FLY on FPRX based on the charts or its niche in the cancer therapy area. Thinking of buying the next dip if a cahnce still arises. And staying enormously long EGRX.
CCXI RNN
VSTM is my pick, as is HRTX…both winnars
I fear the bad karma of this. Hopefully your investments will go towards better cures and treatments to balance it out.
There is no such thing as karma, just coincidence.
i would opine that there is, in fact, karma but that it is subconsciously effected.
There is no such thing as coincidence, you fool.
well somehow my in-offensive response to Fly is “awaiting moderation” – and your arguably offensive comment went straight thru – go figure – but my thoughts are that there is, in fact, karma, but that karma is often subconsciously effected.
I must be on the terrorist watch list – jeez – my white bread comments are awaiting moderation – what is up with this.
Oh right. God has planned everything in advance. Sorry
I fear the bad karma of this. Hopefully your investments will go towards better cures and treatments to balance it out.
that they will so no bad karma at all. Worse karma, if you beleived, from investing in big oil and fracking in my opinion, or McDonalds (or shorting any co) for that matter. although its going on withor without your investment so you’ve got to be blind as an investor.
Annual salary? Who gets an annual salary?
i pay myself an annual salary. prefer my SH Distributions from a tax perspective.
NWBO has some anti-cancer drugs in the pipeline. A promising Phase 3 brain cancer drug and others.
It will be awhile before I get prostate cancer.
Just had a DRE (Digital Rectal Exam) + a PSA test and I have the prostate of a young ‘un.
Of course the rest of me could be crap but I have a good prostate.
well, not to be a downer, but my dad had wonderful PSAs and had yearly exams and one year his PSA was suddenly off the charts. But genetics are big in prostate so if your family history is clear you are probably safe in that respect
I had DNA work done to see what I am prone to get. Prostate cancer isn’t in my genes.
Speaking of ASCO, these guys are rumored to be going – ADHXF – they have an orphan drug designation that Big Pharma may want at a substantial premium to the penny stock nature this currently trades at…jus sayin’ something could pop big one day.

Some something. Never underestimate a man trying to establish a legacy.
I will, however, die blind and without a memory.
my dad died of 3 unrelated cancers that came on suddenly. but he was a chemist for Exxon and had over 10 patents for asbestos derivatives in the late 70s and 80s. He was the Madam Curie of asbestos. Never had him tested for mesothelioma (refused as he was blindly loyal to his employer of 40 years), but perhaps there is hope for me as it was not genetic. Of course then there is my mom . . . she had the curse of the Usher women as Poe would say.
