The Clam Saved X-Mas

Fascinating stuff out of bearshitter firm, GLAUCUS, today, with this report. The ‘smoking gun’ in this report is that TEA changed the wording on their website, moving away from indirect claims that their teas are organic. To me, this is pretty fucking huge, a reversal of my former opinion. Nevertheless, the Chief from SBUX, a native from Brooklyn, has a firm $15.50 all cash bid for TEA. Will Schultz back out of this deal because of a little pesticides? Moreover, Glaucus only tested a handful of samples from a singular location, hardly a scientific conclusion.

But the stock is trading $1.25 below its takeover price. What gives?

The market roared today and stocks with big short positions exploded. Shareholders of DECK, JRCC, GMCR and TSL made a fortune. It seems solar is back, likely based upon some hidden agreement by the socialist states of America to fund their losses.

Today was a phenomenal day for bulls. It truly is a sentiment changer and might just pave the way for a very green X-mas.

Top picks: SWHC, UA

lol read the Disclamer in that shitty GLAUCUS report.

“We are short sellers. We are biased. So are long investors. So is the company. So are the banks that raised money for the company.”

      A long time ago,
I remember it because Dr. J (of 76er fame) and he used to live in my area. I saw him at Home Depot and Panera. One of his kids drove his car into a retention pond down the road from my house and died.

Very good piece written re: DECK short term amd long term outlook. We’re back to cold weather here in Central New York after a balmy winter last year that spoiled everybody. I could get away with not buying my kids new boots in 2011, but not this year.

“Moreover, Glaucus only tested a handful of samples from a singular location, hardly a scientific conclusion.”

Not true. They state in the report-

“We purchased six to eight ounces of thirteen different pure teas, which cost roughly $1,000, from
three retail stores (NY, IL and CA), including the very same store on Lexington Avenue in Manhattan
that impressed Starbucks CEO and Chairman Howard Schultz.”

I personally think they should have tested another “organic tea” in addition to the TEA samples. Then you test SBUX tea and compare levels of pesticides in each of the three. One thing that is very disconcerting is the secrecy with which TEA is correcting language on their website(s). How stupid and naive do they have to be to think that people can’t find cached websites using prior language.

I must’ve overlooked that. But a $1,000 sample is hardly enough to justify calling the company a scam.

The website change is idiotic. It makes them look like a Chicom.

    Concerning the Fiscal Cliff.

    There.
    Is.
    No.
    Way.
    Out.

Inflating it away or defaulting are the only options.
No combination or “revenue enhancements” + spending cuts can address the economic quicksand we are in without causing riots or wholesale revolt.
From what I see and hear, the good folks in all branches of government residing in washington d.c.(does not deserve to be capitalized) are seriously underestimating how pissed off people are becoming.
