Just when you thought things couldn’t get worse for Japan, an earthquake of biblical proportions, 8.9 magnitude, has hit its northern coast and has resulted in a 7 meter long tsunami. This is the biggest earthquake to hit Japan in more than 300 years.
Unrelated, futures are in the tank and the Heng Seng is down more than 450 points.
Update: multiple countries (over50) in Asia, even South America, are issuing tsunami warnings.

We’re watching here… Waiting for word to evacuate or not. So far just a watch not a warning. If it becomes a warning, we must leave for higher ground. oh shit, it just became a warning. I’m really not into this now. Will report back later.
Better to be safe than sorry
Be safe.

Siren just went off…trying to locate pets for possible evacuation..not quite ready to go yet as we can leave rapidly and get to higher ground quickly. Listening to scanner and local news for the latest developments.

The odd thing was this article was written yesterday at 10:00 am!
“Most natural disasters have nothing to do with the moon at all. The Earth has a lot of pent up energy, and it releases it anytime the buildup gets too great. The supermoon probably won’t push it past the tipping point, but we’ll know for sure, one way or the other, by March 20.”
The editors at Yahoo! should be shot for publishing this dreck. Really abysmal.

Chilling with my hostess in Tokyo right now. A-okay so far…
Everyone is going to act surprised when this happens right on the West Coast of our own continent. Luckily the Japanese have been building “earthquake-proof” for a long time. Flaming tsunami-proof… that’s trickier.
We must give due respect to natural processes and mould our development and civilization accordingly.
