ERTS should just buy THQI. They have the cash and it would fill out the remainder of their sports video game portfolio with THQI’s wrestling and UFC cash cows. They could consolidate the distribution expenses and it would help ERTS build a presence on the Wii. ERTS has Hasbro rights and THQI has Mattel, another market they could control- kids/teen category (not to mention the movie studios with whom each company has agreements). With the delay of the UFC game until 2012 and the recent release of the uDraw tablet on Wii, earnings for the former would be accretive next year when the game is debuted and earnings for the latter would grow into the next year.
ERTS has almost $2B of cash, no debt, and generates positive operating cash flow at a $1.3B run rate. THQI’s EV is only $360M with an EV/EBITDA of 1.89. TTWO and ATVI are valued at 10x EV/EBITDA.
No way that’s their EV/EBITDA ratio. You are smoggin craque.

I think Kass’s fund is highly disciplined and not “heavily” short any one thing or area. He is not a reckless manager.
If EEM can hold the “egypt panic” lows here, market is due for one more bounce. That looks likely for next few days.
However, if we breakdown here, EDC (triple long emerging markets) would make a good intraday long scalp on any moves down. Brazil ( EWZ ) and India ( EWP ) are getting dangerously oversold, and china is too flat.
Oddly, the only thing holding up EEM is Russia ( RSX ) . And the only thing holding up Russia is the latest bumper crop from “blueberry hill”
