Doing a 180 from this morning’s missive, I stepped in and bought MWW for two (pick two) reasons:
1. Prime takeover candidate.
2. The Hotjobs numbers at YHOO weren’t half bad.
3. MWW is priced for calamity.
In the event the jobs market improves, even marginally, MWW goes to $17. Months ago I posted a chart of MWW and compared it to the unemployment rate. Can you say lockstep?
Separately, for my personal account, I bought some CHGS, at $1.84, fully accepting the possibility of stark losses in the not so distant future. It’s a 10k lotto play and I am game. Until the market starts going down again, I like JST, FTK, MWW, MERU and other crap. If we start downticking, SPG, MELI and AEM is where my money is short.
UPDATE: In the spirit of lotto, I bought 5,000 CDII @ $1.66. Let the games begin!

I like ALK here. Reports tomorrow, may be very strong. I found in my notes that September traffic was up over 12% and they are valued at a discount to other airlines. DAL and LCC reported well and demand is allowing them to increase fares.

Someone found out you shorted SPG and has been running it up all day long with no stop. It is now at new 52 week highs and headed to 100 before 2:00pm.
Picked up a little (very little) SSG (2X inverse SOX (chips) index)(bought @ 15.26) for a daytrade.
Reasoning: TXN,AMD,NVLS,BRCM are lagging and ALTR should be up due to earnings and it’s not.
And if dollar starts going up (and it looks likes a possible reversal soon) will go with GLL (2X inverse GLD etf).
Why not place your junk in a blender on “purree” setting instead, for a similar experience?

Daily charts exhibiting the same pattern as the April top – the one difference is that the NDX has broken through which could indicate that we’ll rally instead of selloff?
Although chart patterns, or fundamentals don’t seem to matter anymore since the market is controlled by the dollar and algobots.
