With this years unending Bull feast the question isn’t who had a couple of 20 or 30 % picks, the question is who didn’t. Face it Fly, every turd had a 20% gain. Even a sorry ass loser like me had good gains and all I do is wait around for PPT 2.0 to come out and save the rest of my life savings. Woudya hurry up with 2.0 already? Soon this bull run will end and I will need actual factual information to keep the good gains comong.

My loss this quarter was short EBAY.
Shorted at 24 and watched it trade to 22 without taking a profit. That is exactly when several posters mentioned they liked that trade. Shoulda covered right then and there. In fact, I though of it at that moment, but did not make the trade.
Did not think that it would get through 24 but did. Should have stopped at breakeven but watched it quickly get to 26 where I covered. Turned an 8% gain into an loss.
Lesson: Don’t just listen to your gut. Turn your gut into action every time.
why is Greece crying about paying 6+ % on their bonds.. The bloody place is Chp7, lied to the EU in 2000 about their finances and comingled with GS to hoodwink investors.

I think the reason you’re not seeing a lot of action on the blogs of the other traders on the site is that this melt-up has happened without the participation of a lot of people–like, duh, yourself. My already very limited trading has pretty much evaporated in the last few weeks. I still have a few positions, but I’m selling and waiting it out, mostly. I mean, the move from 1040 to 1175 was fast, and I who is buying as we approach 1200? Unless earning beat substantially coming up, I see softness coming up and, even with decent earnings, a sell-the-news scenario unfolding….
I’m with Hugh Hendry on this one. What do you make of his 5% position in NLY? Wow! A 17% divvy!! Now that’s a place to park some cash!
