I saw that. /ES 1094 was the halfway back – the entry for a swing short down to /ES 1015.
Not surprisingly, the PPT hybrid is way oversold and calling for a top – at the same moment.

Today was a no-volume oversold bounce which, I believe, finishes this mini-rally. I took my SDS up to an 89% position (from 70%) at a tick over S&P 1095, which happens to be two points under the 50-day EMA, but will stop it all out above 1099. I’ll then put the position back on on any re-break below that 50-day. YTD, I’m now down 0.8%.

USU has elevated 22% since the Prez SOU. Who says Oshamalamadindong is bad for the stock market? BTW, 4th Q earnings for USU appears to be coming out at the end of month. Here is a look at previous 4Q results for USU, which has highly variable results: Q4 ’08 met; Q4 ’07 met; Q4 ’06 beat +.02; Q4 ’05 NA; Q4 ’04 NA; Q4 ’03 missed .01. Q3 conference call they acknowledged the shitty quarter passed but mentioned 3-4 times through cc that they fully expected to nail Q4. There was nothing in the Q3 earnings call or in the news the past few months to boost expectations that the Q4 result will, in and of itself be wonderful, however, the short squeeze over the next month should allow for nice price appreciation – nice enough to take 1/2 position off before earnings. BTW, Ux spot prices have been falling for some time. The short interest has actually increased to 12% and they will be the fuel to get USU to the $6.50 level; however, this is nothing more than a pure momentum play – don’t overstay your welcome.
