I had an interview and I thought it went really well.
In fact during the interview I made some suggestions that they never thought of which would help them greatly.
As the interview ended the Director said to me (about 20 years younger than me) “if we offer you the position we would want a commitment of time from you.”
I took it as a subtle dig on my age.
Didn’t get it although I could have helped them tremendously because they needed me to do legal stuff that I used to do in my sleep.
I guess it’s back to SMH.
Lost a legal position (hearing officer-quasi-Judge) with Homeland Security about a year ago (as a finalist) because of something similar.
