AHWOA TOTW FTW

Last night in After Hours with Option Addict we reviewed a possible “TOTW” long in Sodastream $SODA. Once a week, we take a handful of set-ups, vote on a candidate as a group, then create a trade plan around the idea from entry to instrument, including exits at a gain and loss. SODA was the favorite over TMUS, BBY and ROIAK.

We decided to wait for an entry as the stock traded below $41. I’ve taken a position in April 45 calls. As a group we decided on a target of $50, and a contingent stop on a close below $39.50.

We’ll review this after the close.

I am consolidating my favorite ideas heading into April expiry.

Since we’ve been highly trained marksmen in the field of stock picking, I hopped on our watchlist ideas from last night first thing off the open. Having sold KNDI and YOD at great gains, I rolled into HPJ, CAAS, and STV for quick moves while taking a longer term position in AKS.

Right now, OVTI, DANG, RCON, ROIAK, and MJNA are on watch.

I have three stocks today up more than 25%. YOD, PHOT, KNDI.

I am starting to wonder why I keep trying to force option trades in the same old momo names from last year. In our 2014 outlook I mentioned that you’d see fewer stocks leading the way in terms of explosive gains. In other words, I was predicting more of a stock pickers market. With the success we’ve had trading cheap stocks, I am beginning to realize that this is where the easiest money is right now.

That will be our focus in After Hours with Option Addict tonight. I got some ideas. See you there.
