Give me a “Daily Dow 40” and I’ll be content for the rest of the year. Absolutely LOVE this price action, or lack thereof.

The biggest concern on the day is that action in the USD/JPY that we’ve been following. Other than that, oil acts right, volatility is perfect, and stocks are moving. I can’t ask for much else.

On the day, the $CRM YOLO from yesterday is killing it. I got into March BLOX calls, YELP calls for next week and shares of MOMO for a squeeze.

LONG OF OIL

I grabbed shares of $UWTI here @3.12. Crude is trading above where is was pre-inventory report. I like to use this method around fed days and other news events as its easy to determine where the market perceives value. I also bought NTLS stock and MBLY calls.

I chickened out and took my GOOGL and UGAZ profits this morning.

Breadth is pretty stable, and market speed is gone. Still a buyer of dips until I see signs of market speed. I’m still watching GWPH here. Not much else on my radar today.

First Solar, Inc. (Nasdaq: FSLR) today announced that Apple has committed $848 million for clean energy from First Solar’s California Flats Solar Project in Monterey County, Calif. Apple will receive electricity from 130 megawatts (MW)_AC of the solar project under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA), the largest agreement in the industry to provide clean energy to a commercial end user.

“Apple is leading the way in addressing climate change by showing how large companies can serve their operations with 100 percent clean, renewable energy,” said Joe Kishkill, Chief Commercial Officer for First Solar. “Apple’s commitment was instrumental in making this project possible and will significantly increase the supply of solar power in California. Over time, the renewable energy from California Flats will provide cost savings over alternative sources of energy as well as substantially lower environmental impact.”

The 2,900-acre California Flats Solar Project occupies 3 percent of a property owned by Hearst Corporation in Cholame, Calif. Construction is expected to begin in mid-2015, and to be completed by the end of 2016. The output of the remaining 150MW of the project will be sold to Pacific Gas & Electric under a separate long-term PPA, and the project is fully subscribed between the Apple and PG&E PPAs.

In January, the Monterey County Planning Commission unanimously approved the California Flats Solar Project, sending the project to the Monterey County Board of Supervisors, which will consider final approval of the project today.

Building on its proven record of developing, building and operating utility-scale solar power plants, First Solar has placed a strategic focus on directly providing large commercial and industrial customers with wholesale electricity through long-term agreements. This deal marks the first wholesale commercial and industrial PPA executed by First Solar.

STOCKS GOING UP, ON A TUESDAY

The map points higher here, and I keep nibbling my way into my watchlist favorites.

On the day, I just closed out an NQ long for +30, grabbed calls on GOOGL, JDST and TWTR, shares of JMEI, and bottom ticked an exit on KITE this morning like an asshole.

This ramp could hit a runaway stride from here. As we discussed in After Hours with Option Addict on Friday, we talked about buying the Monday dip for the breakout. That plan is looking pretty good here.

The energy patch is under pressure, but I’m a buyer of weakness. OAS is the only trade I’m worried about here, but won’t do anything with it til the close, if at all.
