This was a trade we’ve been stalking in After Hours with Option Addict since last week.
Anyone catch it?

$MTCH JAN 12.50s from last week. Waiting for $15.
I took the $SQ trade. Went out to Jan with a $13 target. I got out on the pop.
I ended up selling MTCH after this post. Just seems to me that any time I feel good about a position I should sell. a whopping 1.5% gain.

U.S. crude inventories fell by 5.6 million barrels – the headline (can’t wait to short that)

Crude stocks at Cushing up by 1.4 million barrels – Yipes!
Gasoline stocks rose by 7.1 million barrels – Refiners have no need to refine at this time.
Distillate fuels stocks rose by 5.6 million barrels -Truckers will be spending January in Florida .
I can only hope for a bounce to short.
Any bounce will be tiny
Actually not surprising at all that we had a big draw last week. Seaonality called for it. January should see even bigger inventory builds. Any bounce off this should be sold.

I liked the 30yr treasury futs response to the ADP report. No concern at the moment with my biggest position TBT
32/barrel is conceivable by the last week of January.
Many of the stocks I’ve been accumulating are getting past the IRS wash sale rule lows of 30 days.
They are holding up well.
Today I begin to look for “F.A.N.G. ish stocks to begin accumulating.
HES getting close to my target.
VDE at 2009 levels.
iBC sooner or later sells UWTI. I’m waiting patiently with cash in hand.
INSY is hanging tough if anyone is Bio inclined.
